Update 17:19 UTC: Director General of Cultural Heritage and Handicrafts Department od Kohgiluyeh and Boyer-Ahmad said that A 5.2 magnitude earthquake this afternoon in Kohgiluyeh and Boyer-Ahmad province caused serious damage to the historical texture of Dehdasht, the center of Kohgiluyeh city.
Update 17:15 UTC: The number of those injured in an earthquake in southwestern Iran has increased to 16, the country's emergency medical service said on Sunday. "One person has been treated on the spot, other 15 have been sent to medical centres," the medical service said in a statement, adding that everyone has received medical aid and all patients have already been discharged. All patients are said to have gotten injured while trying to flee the earthquake.
Update : A moderate earthquake with Magnitude 5.2 hit the south-western regions of Iran on Sunday. The epicenter is located only a few kilometer west of the city Dogonbadan, according to Iranian Seismological Center. We expect moderate damage from this quake due to its shallow depth, the high population density near the epicenter and the caltulated intensity.
Minor shaking was felt in Kuwait.
