Update 12:55 UTC : The Province of Lampa was most affected. So far, 93 houses have been reported to have collapsed and 804 partially damaged. 4 schools have also been damaged (2 in Lampa and 2 in Paritia) and 4 churches.
Update 23:25 UTC : Professor Max Wyss, who specializes in theoretical prognoses of injuries and fatalities expects : 0 to 50 injuries and 0 to 10 fatalities.
Update 23:15 UTC : Strong shaking is expected by USGS in the direct epicenter area
Update 23:10 UTC : USGS reports totally different and more dangerous numbers. Magnitude 6.3 and depth 3,8 km. If these data are correct the picture changes completely and we can expect a lot of damage and even injuries. Let's hope that they are wrong.
Update 23:07 UTC : IGP Peru reports a Ml Magnitude of 5.5 at a depth of 30 km.
Update 23:02 UTC : Although very strong in Magnitude we expect that there will be some limited damage in a radius of 30 km (20 miles) around the epicenter. The depth will however weaken the shaking.
Update 23:01 UTC : The earthquake happened at a depth of approx. 50 km in the greater Lake Titicaca area.
