Update : More detailed reports from Yunnan show that the damage level was much larger than earlier reported. At least 10 houses were completely destroyed. 880 more were damaged. Besides to residences, also more than 70 barns were damaged, just as 1 school.
5.016 people were affected by the quake. Nobody was injured. Homeless people were supported with tents and food.
Update : According to the China Seismological Agency the locally measured Magnitude was M4.8 at a depth of only 5 km. As assessment team has been cent to the epicentral area. Many houses showed cracks, fallen tiles and objects, but so far no reports of collapsed rooms or houses or injuries.
According to Yunnan Seismographs the epicenter was located 22 kilometers south-west of Mojiang.
