  • Cuidad Quesada - Lasted 4 seconds or so. No damage visible.
  • La Torre Golf Resort - Light shaking
  • Los montesinos - We felt the shake at 17 15, it just rattled crockery in the kitchen .lasted about 2 seconds . 24th march 2019
  • La Marina - It was less than 10 seconds and everything on a freestanding bookcase just rattled! No damage done. First one I’ve ever experienced!
  • Punta Prima - My wife was collecting the washing on the fourth floor and felt as if she was going to be blown by the wind. Lasted about 5 seconds.
  • Guardamar - Low rumble & vibrations through floor for about 2 seconds at 20.37
  • Torrevieja - Light shaking
  • La mata - Felt like several heavy lorries thundering past the sofa

  • Torrevieja - The earthquake lasted about 8 seconds sun 24 March approx 5 .10 in the afternoon. No damage but scary because big one for torrevieja is long overdue.
  • Alicante - Sitting on our balcony on 5th, top floor of hotel. The balcony actually swayed back and forth. The teacups and saucers on the table did not rattle. Just this unnerving swaying sensation. We both moved inside. Scary stuff!
  • Torrevieja - Like a big lorry passing. Time 21.38, lasted maybe 2/3 seconds. Anyone else felt it?

  • Alicante - Brak uszkodzeń. Trzęsienie trwało 3 sekundy
  • Santa Pola Este, Alicante - about 10 seconds
  • Torrevieja - Could see the wall shaking a bit & we heard a loud noice. Lasted about 3-4 seconds.
  • Torrevieja, Costa Blanca - 2 or 3 seconds shook the building at 17.15h
  • Alicante - Curtains swaying. Ornaments moved. Lasted about 4 or 5 secs.
  • Cabo roig - Light shaking for about 5 seconds
  • Campoamor, Orihuela Costa - Geen schade. Plm 30 sec schat ik . Maar ik voelde het heel duidelijk, zat in de stoel.

  • Torrevieja - Woke everyone in house. Bang followed by definite shaking, lasting 5 to 10 seconds. No damage observed.
  • Villamartin Spain - Sitting outside and felt everything shake and a low rumbling noise. Suppose it lasted about 3 or 4 seconds.

  • Punta Prima - I felt it while sitting by my dining room table next to a wall. I heard within the wall as if there was a small amount of rubble falling in between the walls but it wasn’t anything major (I’m on the 4th floor). Just shaking of the walls and floor that lasted maybe 10 seconds. (I don’t know exact time it’s just a guess from what I remember)

I was sitting on my couch and I had the sensation of swaying, first I thought I was light headed but then heard crunching, I stood up, floor was virbrating, small hairline crack in my ceiling. Got a good fright! Lasted maybe 3/4 seconds. No reports from anyone I know of any damage here

  • Torrevieja - Shaking for 2-3 seconds, felt like a heavy truck passed, slight rumble. No damage.
  • San Miguel de Salinas - Light shaking for 3 seconds at about 17:15. No apparent damage.
  • Torrevieja - Heard a rumbling - thought it was cars going into underground car park,
  • Guardamar del Segura - Caravan shook lightly for about 10 seconds. No noise. No damage. 17h19 this afternoon.
  • El pinet - Weak shaking
  • La Marina San Fulgencio - I think at least 10 seconds the shaking lasted. The dogs were in panic. Windows rattled. As far as I could see there's no damage to the house.

    Some large display windows cracked. A few earthenware toilet fixtures cracked.
    MMI VI (Strong shaking) ?
    People Felt by all. People and animals alarmed. Many run outside. Difficulty experienced in walking steadily.
    Fittings :
    Objects fall from shelves. Pictures fall from walls. Some furniture moved on smooth floors, some unsecured free-standing fireplaces moved. Glassware and crockery broken. Very unstable furniture overturned. Small church and school bells ring. Appliances move on bench or table tops. Filing cabinets or "easy glide" drawers may open (or shut).
    Structures :
    Slight damage to buildings with low standard. Some stucco or cement plaster falls. Large display windows broken. Damage to a few weak domestic chimneys, some may fall.
    Environment :
    Trees and bushes shake, or are heard to rustle. Loose material may be dislodged from sloping ground, e.g. existing slides, talus slopes, shingle slides.
    MMI VII (Very strong shaking) ?
    General alarm. Difficulty experienced in standing. Noticed by motorcar drivers who may stop.
    Fittings :
    Large bells ring. Furniture moves on smooth floors, may move on carpeted floors. Substantial damage to fragile contents of buildings.
    Structures :
    Unreinforced stone and brick walls cracked. Low standard buildings cracked with some minor masonry falls. A few instances of damage to buildings of ordinary workmanship. Unbraced parapets, unbraced brick gables, and architectural ornaments fall. Roofing tiles, especially ridge tiles may be dislodged. Many unreinforced domestic chimneys damaged, often falling from roof-line. Water tanks Type I burst. A few instances of damage to brick veneers and plaster or cement-based linings. Unrestrained water cylinders (hot-water cylinders) may move and leak. Some common windows cracked. Suspended ceilings damaged.
    Environment :
    Water made turbid by stirred up mud. Small slides such as falls of sand and gravel banks, and small rock-falls from steep slopes and cuttings. Instances of settlement of unconsolidated or wet, or weak soils. Some fine cracks appear in sloping ground. A few instances of liquefaction (i.e. small water and sand ejections).

Some pre-1965 infill masonry panels damaged. A few post-1980 brick veneers damaged. Decayed timber piles of houses damaged. Houses not secured to foundations may move. Most unreinforced domestic chimneys damaged, some below roof-line, many brought down. Environment : Cracks appear on steep slopes and in wet ground.
