Kailua Kona hawaii - At first it started off as a pretty weak earthquake, then suddenly it became very strong in a matter of seconds after the weak one ended
Kailua-kona - About 4 seconds, significant shaking awoke household of earthquake accustomed people . About 12:50 am local time.
HOVE - Shook whole house, rattled Windows and glasses, shook hanging lamp, shook my bed pretty strong. Lasted about 12 seconds. No damage.
Hilo - Light shaking
Captain cook - Moderate shaking
Hilo - Woke me up
Mountain virw - 4 seconds. Upthrust not rolling
Kailu Kona - Was standing in kitchen, cement floor, heard the ceiling rattling. Water in a pan in the sink was moving. Lasted maybe 2 or 3 seconds. dont know of damage, if any, because it just happened and it's the middle of the night.
Honokaa - Shook for almost about a minute. Scary especially when youre 8 months pregnant and kids already in bed.
Ninole, Hawaii - Windows rattling , rumbling
Orchidlands - 1-5 seconds, woke up during
Kailua kona - 12:57 am experienced a simulator long rolling earthquake. Approximately three to four seconds in duration. No damage or noise.
Captain Cook ,Hawaii - Was in the bed about an hour when the shaking occurred on the left size of the house. My picture fell off the bathroom wall and broke.
Volcano - Woke everyone up, major shaking, windows, walls rattling
Pauka'a - Woke us up with moderate shaking of house; first quake lasted about 4-5 sec, followed quickly by weaker & shorter aftershock. No obvious damage.
Kona - 5 seconds...no damage seen
Captain Cook - <20 seconds
Waikoloa - Sitting in chair outside, felt like someone was pushing my chair back and forth.
Hawaii Island - I was jolted awake by a strong shaking in the condo complex where I live. No one seemed alarmed and no damage reported so far.
Pahoa - It shook me awake. Windows rattled, lamps shook I could hear the ice in the fridge move. All the neighborhood dogs began barking.
Captain Cook - The was a big jolt and then house kept shaking hard for 15-20 secs.
Mt view - Strong shaking like riding in a pickup on a very rough road..
Waikoloa - Was woken up by bed shaking
Holualoa - Woke us up we're accustomed to earthquakes, it wasn't bad just shook for about 20-25 seconds total. No damage at all.
Hawaiian Acres - Felt two good shakes, went back to sleep.
Kona Hawai'i - Woken up at about 0115 on March 13. Felt as if a truck had crashed into the house without barkes. Shaking continued. I left the bedroom and went to the living room and all 3 chandeliers were rocking. Large chandeliers moving a foot in either direction.
Keaau - The house shook back and forth, lasted about 5 seconds. No noted damage
Kona - I was sleeping and woke up to the shaking. It lasted several seconds. I was scared, because I am staying on the 8th floor in Waikoloa. I tried to think what I should do, and then it stopped.
Captain Cook - Was awake in bed and the house started swaying and shaking...8 to 10 seconds. Definitely took notice, but no damage
Mt view - We were in bed and it shook for what seemed a long time. Scary. I hope we don't lose chunk of our island.
