Update 16:56 UTC: Â The preliminary hypocenter depth has been set at 71 km which reduces the possibility of damage seriously.

Loja, Loja - Sitting on my bed, I thought my husband sat down or jumped on it. Quickly realized he was in the other room. Lasted about 5 seconds. My husband who was standing did not feel it.
Vilcabamba - I felt the shake at 12:46 p.m. for about 2-3 seconds ..... very distinct ..... so I consider it moderate ..... Thanks !!!
manta - It was a tiny shaking. I was laying on the bed when it started slow movement forth & back. The entire thing lasted about 10-15 seconds. No visible damage to anything.
salinas - 15 seconds?
Cuenca - No property damage. Lasted approx. 10-20 seconds and strong enough to rattle dishes in china hutch, make pictures move and rocking chair rock hard. Two minutes after initial quake, felt small tremor but not strong enough to make anything move.
Loja - Lasted 3 or 4 seconds. No damage to building. 12:50pm
Puerto Cayo - Moderate shaking
Cuenca - Weak shaking
Quito - Very weak shaking
San Jacinto - No damage - just a moderate shaking that lasted 30 - 45 seconds.
Cuenca - felt like the ground dropped and then shaking for 15-20 seconds.
Cuenca - I was laying on a couch looking at emails when earthquake struck. I could feel the trembling...realized an earthquake was in progress. The shaking lasted a surprisingly long amount of time, up to a minute maybe. I felt some concern about building I live in, which is just 2 stories high. No glass was broken, nor did anything fall.
Yunguilla Valley - Just a few seconds and it felt moderate and it also felt like a quake. Living in Northern CA for years, one knows the feeling of earthquake even if weak, light or moderate.
Loja - laying in bed,3 to 4 seconds felt like the cloth automatic washing machine was off balance in rincing spinning cycle...(in my wooden built house)told my wife ...if it get any more 'shaky'get under the bed...safety move...in case from Loja
Guayaquil - Was in maxi mart in Guayquil. Moderate shaking and some food fell off the shelves
Cuenca - Windows in the restaurant shaking, I thought a big truck was rumbling by but didn't see one, they rumbled again. Yes, earthquake we thought.
Macara - My husband and I were working on our computers in a screened-in porch when we heard a rumbling noise and then felt the one-story wood-framed building shaking. It lasted about 10-20 seconds. Nothing fell.
Puerto lopez - For approx 5 seconds, the bed I was on and the adjacent bunkbed shook as if someone was jumping on both. No damage though
Puerto Lopez - 3 or 4 seconds. Shelf items rattled.
Puerto Lopez - Second floor condo.
3 or 4 seconds.
Shelf items rattled. Nothing broken.
Guayas - Light shaking
Guayaquil - We were having lunch. I could feel the shaking seeing the table and items on it moving. But nothing fell to the floor. A number of people got up moving rapidly to the exit. It lasted for 15 to 20 seconds. But I watched the empty tables with bottle to continue lightly shaking for +30 seconds. We didn't get up and leave.
Bahia de Caraquez - No damage. Just felt light tremor, but only 2 out of 4 of us did.
Sigsig - Paar seconden. Heen en weer in ben geschud. Wakker geworden.
