  • Praia del Rey - Moderate shaking
  • Charneca/Cascais - A good rumble, my house shook slightly and my German shepherd looked at me like ,”whats that?” No damage. Maybe 5 seconds. I’ve been through two 6.8 quakes that were bad in the US, so this was laughable. I looked at my dogs and said,” baby quake!”
  • Almada - shaking & window rattling

  • Evora - 5 to 8 seconds. We saw no damage

  • Lisbon - i was sitting in the office and felt a slight shaking sitting on my chair.

  • Lisboa - No damages. 2 or 3 seconds of lightshaking. I didn't even realised it could be an earthquake, since I never experienced one before.
  • Nossa Senhora de machede - It was like a wave onder the ground. Started calm and then become more strong. house was shaking, and there was a loud low noise with it. it was only for like, 30 seconds at the wors. Nothing was dammaged.
  • Covilhã - Moderate shaking
  • Lissabon - Enkele seconden waarin mijn bed schudden daarna nog enkele trillingen.
  • Alcobaca - No damage. Lasted a few seconds.
  • Odivelas - I felt light shaking of the interior stuff in the room (bed, wardrobes - a bit) and waiving window cutrain.It took 4-5 sec. I live on 10th floor so the building on top felt it strong.
  • fronteira - Shook a lot during sleep...things moved and made sounded like big washing machine but a lower lasted quite a long time..over ten seconds. No damage in the house.
  • Lisbon - For 10-15 seconds it was very noticeable. Everything in the room was shaking and I could see the light on the ceiling oscillating.
  • Forte da casa - Moderate shaking
  • Lisbon - Lasted ~5-10s. No apparent damage. Shelves and beds shaked.
  • Parede - No damage but the shaking was sustained and strong.
  • Mem Martins - Lasted approximately 4 to 5 seconds. No property damage.
  • Lisbon - Very weak shaking
  • Lisbon - A very slight tremble, almost like a heavy lorry going past. Only a few seconds
  • Porto Salvo - about 4 seconds, very light shaking (I thought it was me, getting dizzy or so!)
  • Cascais - Very faint but as a Californian I am experienced in identifying earthquakes. Lasted just a few seconds.
  • lisbon - 5 seconds. I was sitting on the bed and the whole bed wo shaaking. also a shelf was shaking a bit.
  • Lisbon - Was on the 9th floor of a building, basically started shaking the desk and floor seemed like dancing
  • Lisbon - On floor five of hotel, felt it for maybe one minute.Have lived through 9.0 Fukushima earthquake in 2011. This one had a sound accompanying it
  • Leiria - Wstrząs trwał kilka sekund. Meble, jak stół, w mieszkaniu delikatnie sie trzęsły. Nie ma obrażeń.
  • Évora - Heard a rumble, everything in the living room started shaking and I got up and stood underneath a doorway. It lasted about 5-7 seconds.
  • Montelavar - I thought somebody was shaking the caravan I was sitting in, but nobody was there. Lasted about 5 seconds. Now I realise who shook the caravan 🙂
  • Costa da Guia Cascais - Very low level rumble, thought tt could be a quake at the time. NOT CONCERNED. Confirmed by news on internet otherwise would not have thought much more about it.

  • Alhandra - Durou aprox 5 a 7 seg, sem danos.

  • 2240-300 - Felt quake with shaking & window rattling

  • Lisbon - Shaking lasted 5 - 10 seconds. No damage.
  • Montemor o Novo - It felt like 2 or 3 separate shakes lasting a total of 05/10 seconds. No damage to property and no persons harmed.

  • Lisbon - Office table started to shake for about 5 to 10 seconds.
  • Rio Maior - i just woke up for that my bed was moving around. it was scary but last only for a few seconds.
  • portalegre - It lasted only a few seconds but the shake was rather huge, managing to move me and my bed away from the wall.
  • Merida - Very weak shaking
  • Redondo - 20 seconds. I was on my bedroom on-line. Books fell. Smaller objects too though there weren't many. 2 of 3 paintings hanging on wall fell in one case with the nail and a bit of plaster leaving a small hole in the wall (which is of brick plastered over. Seconds before my cat (she was with me) woke up, started trying to get out of the window &dogs in other apartments barked. My cat just..rumbled, she didn't meow or screech. All calm now but room a mess. Pieces of plaster fell from the ceiling.

    People Felt by all. People and animals alarmed. Many run outside. Difficulty experienced in walking steadily.
    Fittings :
    Objects fall from shelves. Pictures fall from walls. Some furniture moved on smooth floors, some unsecured free-standing fireplaces moved. Glassware and crockery broken. Very unstable furniture overturned. Small church and school bells ring. Appliances move on bench or table tops. Filing cabinets or "easy glide" drawers may open (or shut).
    Structures :
    Slight damage to buildings with low standard. Some stucco or cement plaster falls. Large display windows broken. Damage to a few weak domestic chimneys, some may fall.

    Environment :
    Water made turbid by stirred up mud. Small slides such as falls of sand and gravel banks, and small rock-falls from steep slopes and cuttings. Instances of settlement of unconsolidated or wet, or weak soils. Some fine cracks appear in sloping ground. A few instances of liquefaction (i.e. small water and sand ejections).
    MMI VIII (Severe shaking) ?
    People Alarm may approach panic. Steering of motorcars greatly affected. Structures : Low standard buildings heavily damaged, some collapse. ordinary workmanship buildings damaged, some with partial collapse. Reinforced masonry or concrete buildings damaged in some cases. A few instances of damage to buildings and bridges designed and built to resist earthquakes. Monuments and pre-1976 elevated tanks and factory stacks twisted or brought down. Some pre-1965 infill masonry panels damaged. A few post-1980 brick veneers damaged. Decayed timber piles of houses damaged. Houses not secured to foundations may move. Most unreinforced domestic chimneys damaged, some below roof-line, many brought down. Environment : Cracks appear on steep slopes and in wet ground. Small to moderate slides in roadside cuttings and unsupported excavations. Small water and sand ejections and localized lateral spreading adjacent to streams, canals, lakes, etc.
