  • Gypsum - Light shaking
  • Eagle - The shaking of the house and rattling of the windows lasted a few seconds, with the boom that was heard it felt more like a truck ran into something.

  • Grand Jct - Woke my husband from a nap, dogs sat up, I felt also while sitting on the couch. 7-10 sec.
  • Grand Junction - 2 separate incidents, the first one light, the second about 3-5 minutes later which lasted about a minute. The second was the 10:22 quake, I texted my husband at 10:24. This woke me up (I’m ill in bed) and rattled the photos on my shelves. No damage that i’m aware of. Husband felt both as well, he is about 6 mi NW of me, on N. side of the Colorado River.
  • GRAND JUNCTION - maybe 5 to 7 seconds. cabinet doors and dishes rattling. Could just barely feel it.
  • Grand Junction - I was sitting in a chair and felt someone was shaking my chair for about 5 to 7 seconds
  • Grand Junction - Minor but obvious shaking - slight creaking of house - lasted about 3 seconds.
  • La Sal, Utah - Windows rattled and furniture shook. There was a boom sound.
  • Grand Junction - Felt like something in the shop downstairs was shaking the building. Didn't realize it was an earthquake till someone said there was one.
  • Grand Junction - Lasted for about a min, no damage. In my office on the 4th floor
  • Ft. Defiance, AZ - shaking felt on second story of our building
  • Grand Junction - Felt the 10:22 quake. Every decorative wall hanging shook and dishes rattled in kitchen cupboards. Shaking lasted approximately 30 seconds. No apparent damage, but my dogs went crazy!
  • Grand Junction - Noticed what felt like the house was shoved. Called my husband up from the basement asking what it was. he had not felt it downstairs.
  • Cortez, CO - Shook our house at 10:25 am for maybe 10-15 seconds. Scared the cats, nothing damaged, sort of rolling thru the house twice.
  • Grand Junction - Noticed that everything around me was shaking for about 10 seconds, like a high vibration.
  • Ridgway, CO - I heard a boom sound 2 or 3 seperate times this morning between 11am and 12 noon.
  • Hotchkiss, Co - Like a door slamming at one end of a house, a one second wave-like experience with no noise.
  • Grand Junction, CO - At about 10:15am the back wall of the house was being rattled and it sounded like the French doors on that wall were bowing shook hard. Then some of the inner walls must’ve vibrates because I could hear the rattling of an iron wall decor that was hanging. The dogs also began barking loudly and running around before I heard the shaking. All of it lasted about 20-30 seconds.
  • Cedaredge - At first thought it was deer jumping our fence. There were no deer front or back, sides of our home
  • Paonia, CO - We felt the house shake for a couple seconds, some hanging things were swaying and the house plants were quivering. Nothing was damaged.
  • Grand Junction, CO - Felt my couch shaking for a minute or two. Not strong but just enough to make me think I was going crazy!
  • Grand Junction, Colorado - I was on the 3rd floor of the Fidelity Mortgage building. Approx 10:23 A.M. the floor was going up and down slightly, not back & forth. I went through 2 of the larger ones in Southern California, Sylmar 2/9/1971 & Whittier 10/1/1987. This was the biggest one I have ever felt in Western Colorado in the 31 years of living here. I also heard that there was a 4.6 quake in Alberta, Canada this morning approx 4-1/2 hours earlier.
  • Billings - Very weak shaking
  • dove creek - 10 seconds week shaking. tv fell off stand.
  • Grand Junction - I was at home and my kids, husband, and I felt the floor shake and the interior doors rattled on their hinges. It was around 10:22 am on 3/4/19 and lasted for a few seconds.

  • Monticello, UT - About 10:25 AM. We heard a rushing sound about 80 decibels, and then felt 3 seconds of light shaking.
  • Grand junction CO - I was laying down and my whole house started to shake. Even my windows rattled a little. It only lasted about 15 seconds.
  • Norwood - Very weak shaking
  • Window Rock - Heard creaking, then felt our two story building vibrating. My monitor was swaying.

  • Clifton - Lasted 8 seconds or so. Dishes rattled a bit

  • Gateway - I was sitting in a chair and we heard a sound (house squeaking) as my chair started shaking and noticeably shook for about 10-20 seconds.
  • Olathe, CO - Weak shaking
  • Cortez, Colorado - 5-6 seconds shaking, stovepipe rattled, felt vibration through furniture, observed houseplants shaking
  • Blanding - Blanding, Utah, the windows rattled and my recliner chair was pretty active for a few seconds, It got my attention real quick.
  • MOAB - Weak shaking lasted about 5 seconds at about 10:30 a.m. Didn't look at clock. No damage.

  • Glenwood Springs co - Walls shook for 3 seconds at 3 am and then 2 more tremors about a half hour apart. You could see walls move shake and the floor shake.
  • Glenwood Springs - At around 3:00am I suddenly woke up to a strange shaking like sensation that was clearly felt around all my apartment,at first I thought it might of been a dream,that is when I found that I could not sleep anymore,so I took to social media[snapchat]and saw that I wasn't going crazy,I wasn't the only one who felt in in my area,others posted,*"Did anyone just feel the small earthquake?"*.A 2nd shake occurred about 1hr later,this time stronger with smaller ones following it for about 5 sec.
  • Glenwood Springs, Colorado - First quake woke me and my son up. House was shaking enough my china was clinking. Second quake was stronger and woke up everybody who all came running out of the bedrooms. Almost directly under us as far as I could tell. We are north of town.
  • Glenwood Springs - We woke up from our bed rattling us both awake. We were so freaked out that we went outside to look at what might have caused it. (3:12 AM) then an hour later we felt it again waking us up from sleep and we are heavy sleeping. After lying in bed it happened again while we were awake. Very unnerving. Did not wake our kids. No damage to home that we know.

  • Glenwood springs - Was sleeping first time I felt it was very strong, went back to sleep maybe like 40 mins later I felt it again strong and after 10 mins again but not as strong and a fourth time was light.

  • Grand Junction - I was already awake. Shaking lasted about 10 seconds. I lived in Japan for nearly ten years and have felt hundreds of earthquakes including the big one in 2011 in Tokyo. Strangely, this one was like a fast vibration, Japanese quakes are different. In Japanese quakes, the ground feels like it's shifting, floating back and forth.

  • Glenwood Springs - My wife and I woke up at 4am to our bookshelf tapping against the wall and our bed shaking/swaying back and forth, seemed to only last a couple of seconds after we woke up. I have been in earthquakes in California and this didn't seem long enough to be one but that was our first thought since we didn't hear a large heavy truck driving by or banging/cracking from a house settling.
  • Rulison - A jolt woke me up, it sounded like someone bumping into furniture or thunder. The dogs outside barked then were quiet but the cat was pretty fidgety. I didn't know what it was until I found out about the quake later, the time was right. No damage that I saw.
  • New Castle - Felt it while sitting on the couch. I live on the third(top) floor of my building. Lasted about about 20 seconds.
  • New Castle, Colorado - Woke up to about 15 - 20 seconds of shaking
  • Delta - It woke me up and I was startled and could here all the docratuons in my room clacking, lasted about 15 seconds
  • Battlement Mesa - The shaking woke me up around 4AM. I thought maybe I had started my bed frame's massage feature, but quickly realized it wasn't just my bed.
  • Glenwood Springs, CO - At around 4 am, I was awakened by my dog whining and then some light vibrating and the bed slightly shaking. Nothing was damaged that I know of. It felt like a large truck driving right by the house.
  • Silt - Didn't feel a thing! Was awake and on my computer and nothing! Dogs didn't raise a fuss either. Heard about it from my family in Golden!!

  • Grand Junction, CO - No damage. 3 seconds. Lying in bed awake. House cracking then dogs started barking. Crystal trinket fell off dresser. Knew it was an earthquake because I lived in San Francisco Bay Area for 20 years.
  • Craig Colorado - Felt my sofa vibrating, I thought the exorcist had gotten into my sofa, vibrated for 15 seconds and it knocked my clock off my wall
  • Grand Junction - 7-10 seconds. Dogs ran out, bed and house shook. But it wasn’t strong enough to wake my husband.
  • Craig Co - Dogs started to bark the shaking lasted 7 seconds no damage
  • Grand Junction - Woke me up at 4am, lasted 7-10 seconds. Curious to find out where this one originated from. Not the first one I\'ve felt over my 53 years living in GJ
  • Grand junction - I heard glass rattling and felt the beard shaking for about 7 seconds or so.
  • Clifton - Lots of rattling of objects on tabletop for approx. 10 seconds.
  • Grand Junction - Woke up at 4:02 to cat howling and jumping off the bed. Shaking lasted a few seconds.
  • Glenwood Springs - Shaking woke me up and lasted approx 10-15 seconds. Large picture on wall in bedroom was knocking against the wall. Surprised it was so strong this far away.
  • Crawford, CO - Awoke at 4:02 to a rapid shaking. Lasted about 5 seconds. Rafters were squeaking and popping (a very old stone house). Observed no damage. I think I felt a milder shake shortly thereafter, but not as noticeable.
  • Glenwood Springs - woke me up, no damage - but could hear the house creak an felt bed shaking.
  • Cedaredge - I was sleeping and was woken by my headboard shaking strongly. I yelled at my cat to STOP. I thought he was trying to get behind the headboard. He was actually outside when it happened. It lasted 15-20 seconds. I did not know what it was until the news announced it.
  • Paonia, CO - Shaking woke me and my wife up at around 4am, a train was sounding at the time which I thought might be the source but it was very strong.

  • New Castle - I was sitting at my desk yesterday 4-6-18 early afternoon and felt a rumbling, but was very weak. Then last night getting ready for bed felt it again as I was turning off my computer. I've felt stronger ones in our area, so thought this might have been from fracking south of me, but not the one at night.
  • Glenwood Springs - At around 3:15am I suddenly woke up to a strange shaking like sensation that was clearly felt around all my apartment, at first I thought it might of been a dream, that is when I found that I could not sleep anymore, so I took to social media [snapchat] and saw that I wasn't going crazy, I wasn't the only one who felt in in my valley, others posted, *"Did anyone just feel that small earthquake?"*. I remember this occurring in April 7th, 2018.
  • Glenwood Springs - Apartment complex on flattops view Drive in Glenwood Springs, Co. 4 earthquakes occurred, the first one around 2:50 AM then again at 4:15 AM with two more a few minutes apart. The whole apartment shuck and a loud sound coming from underneath the ground.
  • Glenwood Springs, Colorado - At approx 4:05am, the house shook for about 3 seconds. There have been 2 aftershocks so far -- both less intense and of a shorter duration
  • Glenwood springs Colorado - 3:03 am building jumped and then shook and at 4:14 am building jolted rumbled and shook for 5 to 8 seconds
  • glenwood springs, co - I was awakened at 2:30 am by a strong rumble and shaking, I thought it had been a dream, but then again at 4 am after already being awake We felt an even stronger rattle of windows and shaking of our home. It's still dark so we haven't been outside to access the damage.
  • Glenwood Springs Colorado - Good Morning approximately around 415 am, I woke up because the whole house shaked. Then about a minute later it did it again. I went to my roommate room, and he also said he felt the second one but not first one. I just moved here a month ago from South Texas. I had never felt such a thing.

    People :
    Felt by persons at rest, on upper floors or favorably placed.
    MMI III (Weak shaking) ?
    People :
    Felt indoors; hanging objects may swing, vibration similar to passing of light trucks, duration may be estimated, may not be recognized as an earthquake.
    MMI IV (Light shaking) ?
    People :
    Generally noticed indoors but not outside. Light sleepers may be awakened. Vibration may be likened to the passing of heavy traffic, or to the jolt of a heavy object falling or striking the building.
    Fittings :
    Doors and windows rattle. Glassware and crockery rattle. Liquids in open vessels may be slightly disturbed. Standing motorcars may rock.
    Structures :
    Walls and frames of buildings, and partitions and suspended ceilings in commercial buildings, may be heard to creak.
    MMI V (Moderate shaking) ?
    People :
    Generally felt outside, and by almost everyone indoors. Most sleepers awakened. A few people alarmed.
    Fittings :
    Small unstable objects are displaced or upset. Some glassware and crockery may be broken. Hanging pictures knock against the wall. Open doors may swing. Cupboard doors secured by magnetic catches may open. Pendulum clocks stop, start, or change rate.
    Structures :
    Some large display windows cracked. A few earthenware toilet fixtures cracked.
    MMI VI (Strong shaking) ?
    People Felt by all. People and animals alarmed. Many run outside. Difficulty experienced in walking steadily.
    Fittings :
    Objects fall from shelves. Pictures fall from walls. Some furniture moved on smooth floors, some unsecured free-standing fireplaces moved. Glassware and crockery broken. Very unstable furniture overturned. Small church and school bells ring. Appliances move on bench or table tops. Filing cabinets or "easy glide" drawers may open (or shut).
    Structures :
    Slight damage to buildings with low standard. Some stucco or cement plaster falls. Large display windows broken. Damage to a few weak domestic chimneys, some may fall.
    Environment :
    Trees and bushes shake, or are heard to rustle. Loose material may be dislodged from sloping ground, e.g. existing slides, talus slopes, shingle slides.
    MMI VII (Very strong shaking) ?
    People
    General alarm. Difficulty experienced in standing. Noticed by motorcar drivers who may stop.
    Fittings :
    Large bells ring. Furniture moves on smooth floors, may move on carpeted floors. Substantial damage to fragile contents of buildings.
    Structures :
    Unreinforced stone and brick walls cracked. Low standard buildings cracked with some minor masonry falls. A few instances of damage to buildings of ordinary workmanship. Unbraced parapets, unbraced brick gables, and architectural ornaments fall. Roofing tiles, especially ridge tiles may be dislodged. Many unreinforced domestic chimneys damaged, often falling from roof-line. Water tanks Type I burst. A few instances of damage to brick veneers and plaster or cement-based linings. Unrestrained water cylinders (hot-water cylinders) may move and leak. Some common windows cracked. Suspended ceilings damaged.
    Environment :
    Water made turbid by stirred up mud. Small slides such as falls of sand and gravel banks, and small rock-falls from steep slopes and cuttings. Instances of settlement of unconsolidated or wet, or weak soils. Some fine cracks appear in sloping ground. A few instances of liquefaction (i.e. small water and sand ejections).
    MMI VIII (Severe shaking) ?
    People Alarm may approach panic. Steering of motorcars greatly affected. Structures : Low standard buildings heavily damaged, some collapse. ordinary workmanship buildings damaged, some with partial collapse. Reinforced masonry or concrete buildings damaged in some cases. A few instances of damage to buildings and bridges designed and built to resist earthquakes. Monuments and pre-1976 elevated tanks and factory stacks twisted or brought down. Some pre-1965 infill masonry panels damaged. A few post-1980 brick veneers damaged. Decayed timber piles of houses damaged. Houses not secured to foundations may move. Most unreinforced domestic chimneys damaged, some below roof-line, many brought down. Environment : Cracks appear on steep slopes and in wet ground. Small to moderate slides in roadside cuttings and unsupported excavations. Small water and sand ejections and localized lateral spreading adjacent to streams, canals, lakes, etc.
    MMI IX (Violent shaking) ?
    Structures Many low standard buildings destroyed. Ordinary workmanship buildings heavily damaged, some collapse. Reinforced masonry or concrete buildings damaged, some with partial collapse. Buildings and bridges designed and built to resist earthquakes damaged in some cases, some with flexible frames seriously damaged. Damage or permanent distortion to some buildings and bridges, designed and built to normal use standards. Houses not secured to foundations shifted off. Brick veneers fall and expose frames. Environment : Cracking of ground conspicuous. Landsliding general on steep slopes. Liquefaction effects intensified and more widespread, with large lateral spreading and flow sliding adjacent to streams, canals, lakes, etc.
