FINAL update 16:22 UTC : After screening our many sources (all Fire Department brigades and some supermarkets in the epicenter area), we are happy to report that this earthquake made NO damage, injuries or casualties.

Update : We thank our many Californian readers who have felt this earthquake and wrote almost immediate reports to us.  Your reports are clarifying within minutes a) the strength of the earthquake b) the length of the shaking (important for eventual damage) c) helps people living more far away from the epicenter to find out where the quake was and how strong it was perceived.

Update : Of course, this kind of earthquake will not injure people seriously or make any major damage, but is it still too soon to talk about NO minor damage or minor injuries. All authorities have to report on the calls they received before any final report can be made. At earthquake-report. com we don't expect any damage, but every earthquake is a different one and generates sometimes minor damage even with weak to moderate magnitudes.

San Bernardino, CA: Felt an earthquake at around 7:45 this morning. It was pretty strong, I was in the Northridge earthquake and it felt similar in strength but not in duration it was maybe a 20 second shake (side to side). I am waiting to hear any reports on the news but nothing has been said yet. I live in San Bernardino right by Devore area.

Riverside, CA:  I was outside, very still and felt it. But most people i talked to didn't feel it outside. Felt indoors.. Small rumble at first, then a light shaking for what seemed to be a couple seconds. Happened on 09/14/11 @ 7:45am Pacific time
Riverside, CA: During our meeting felt a quick jolt, we thought a forklift had hit the wall while picking up pallets, but had other team members report the sensation throughout our 1.6M square foot building.

San Bernardino, Grand Terrace, CA: The wall in one bedroom shook, but nothing fell down. The bed shook in another bedroom, but only for about 10 seconds and it wasn't very strong.
Moreno Valley, CA: It's bark was louder than its bite. Loud with light shaking. Moreno Valley

Mission Viejo, CA: felt weak shaking
Canyon Lake, CA: 7:25 am i felt a very rough shaking for about 10 secs. And it was very strong until about the 8th second then it started to calm
