I Have Felt It Report from Wakayama : I was driving in Wakayama city and didn't feel a thing but my wife called me 5 minutes later when I was in a store saying we just had a big quake. Then we had an aftershock about 15 minutes later when I was sitting in a Mister Donuts and it was very small. Just a gentle swaying sensation.

UPDATE 06/07-11:21 UTC : On top of the damage in Yuasa, 2 houses in Hirokawa also sustained damage.

UPDATE 21:40 UTC : 9 buildings were damaged in Yuasa

UPDATE 13:16 UTC : A 5 minor intensity was recorded in Arida and Yuasa.

UPDATE 13:01 UTC : The government installed a liaison office that has the task of collecting information

UPDATE 12:29 UTC : We have some reports about a slightly injured 23 year old woman who was hit by a falling lamp. Also some minor damage reports.

UPDATE : The good news so far is that we have NOT yet seen a report of damage or injuries. Within 2 to 3 hours the final outcome will be clear as Japanese emergency services are very well organized.

UPDATE :  JMA Intensity scale (0 to 7) 5+ Wakayama-ken Hokubu, 4 Tokushima-ken Nambu and Kagawa-ken Tobu

UPDATE : The epicenter area is very populated, which makes it vulnerable for shallow earthquakes. On the positive side, however, is that Japanese are well trained earthquake prepared people.

UPDATE : Hirogawa and Wakayama have been reported with an intensity of 5+ (6 to VII MMI).
