Very strong shallow earthquake (aftershock) in Bio Bio, Chile

UPDATE 06:35 PM UTC : At 01:58 PM local time the Northern part of the country was shaken by a magnitude 4.6 quake. The hypocenter was detected at a depth of 70.6 km. Max. MMI values were following Chilean Onemi IV.  The epicenter of the quake was 34 km  SE of Caldera.

UPDATE 06:15 PM UTC : People living in Lebu and Temuco are reporting a heavy shaking.

UPDATE 06:13 PM UTC : Chile local press is only giving the ONEMI mmi values and has no word yet from local correspondents.

UPDATE 05:36 PM UTC : Epicenter (if confirmed) is only a couple of km from Los Alamos. Los Alamos has a population of 18,632 (latest census).
Los Alamos is a town in the Chile Arauco Province, Biobío Region

UPDATE 05:32 PM UTC : So far USGS has received Felt reports with a max. value of V MMI from approx. 50 km from the epicenter.

Strong very shallow aftershock below the continent and very close to Los Alamos.
It was a while ago that powerful aftershocks did strike this February 27 2010 massive earthquake area.
Chile houses are very well build and need normally more than Magnitude 6 to be at risk for damage.
However today's earthquake is very shallow.
25 km (15 miles) E of Lebu, Bio-Bio, Chile
VI MMI expected near the epicenter.
