Very dangerous earthquake below the China / Myanmar border area

UPDATE 10:42 UTC : Just to update the present situation - 80600 people affected, remembering that they are essentially affected from the previous Yingjiang earthquakes.
678 homes damaged (3049 rooms) of which 1 house collapsed (3 rooms), severely damaged homes = 229 (1030 rooms), slightly damaged homes = 448 (2016 rooms).
China is probably the best in the world for earthquake response, having many decentralized seismological bureaus, and quick disaster management teams.

UPDATE 03:50 UTC : CHINESE authorities have evacuated 64,500 people from their homes. A total of 678 homes were damaged (1 collapsed).
The county government also sent emergency supplies of tents, quilts, coats and rice to the area.

UPDATE 14:10 UTC : Early reports out of Yunnan are mentioning 1 injured person by a collapsed wall. We will continue to follow up this earthquake and bring the news to you when it becomes available.
For now, we are decreasing the alert level again to ORANGE.

UPDATE 10:36 UTC : increases the alert level to RED as the epicenter is unsure and as the earthquake epicenter seems to be located in the same area than the earlier (at lower magnitude) VERY DAMAGING Yingjiang area from January 1 2011.

UPDATE 09:58 UTC : According to the China Earthquake Networks Center message, at 15:11:20 on February 1, 2011, Yunnan Province, Dehong Autonomous Prefecture of Yingjiang (latitude: 24.7 °, longitude: 97.9 °) 4.8 earthquake occurred, focal depth 10 km.

Although this earthquake looks relatively harmless because of the magnitude, is calling this earthquake dangerous based on historic facts and the very dangerous transform fault zone nearby.

Moderate shallow but dangerous earthquake 73 km NE Banmo (pop 47,920)
Initial data from EMSC were M 4.9 at a depth of 20 km (more dangerous).
Even lower magnitudes can be dangerous in this part of the world.
The earthquake epicenter is on Chinese territory near the village of Xiang Dao.
