Earthquake Report update on the July 31 Magnitude 5.3 earthquake in Southern Iran
(This is the first news out of Iran more than 24 hours after the earthquake !) :

Most of the damage was in the town of Negar, in the Kerman province.

Excerpt of the Tehran times from August 1 :
There have been no reports of casualties but many homes have been damaged.Rescue teams have been dispatched to the stricken region from the neighboring cities, an official from Kerman™s Red Crescent said.20 percent of buildings have sustained 15 to 40 percent damages, the local official added.œDue to the town™s ancient structure, today™s earthquake damaged about 700 houses, Ali Reza Kazemi, the mayor of Negar, told the IRNA news agency.

Remark of Earthquake Report:
Earthquake Report is not sure at all that all the details have been given.
The town of Baft was also very nearby and the given information does not look complete, no word on Baft.
If many houses were badly damaged, there must certainly be at least injured people.
As there are no independent journalists to report, we are cautious to believe the government reports.
