Jaltipan de Moreno was completely destroyed أغسطس 26, 1959.
The earthquake that rocked the city of Jaltipan on Aug. 26, 1959 is now an example of solidarity and joint effort to jaltipanecos in difficult times.
In the city the dead toll was 7 و 200 اشخاص اصيبوا, in addition to the destruction of almost all homes.
Thanks to a joint effort from the authorities (cheap loanes) and the local population of Jaltipan, the town has been reconstructed very fast and is today a modern thriving city.
