  • Oklahoma City - The whole house shook for several seconds
  • Goddard, KS - Laying on the bed reading when the bed started gently shaking and the door rattled
  • Oklahoma City - My entire bed was shaking and ticking
  • Tulsa, Oklahoma - Sitting on couch at about 12:10 central time and experienced whole house shaking lightly for about 10-15 seconds. Cracks developed in old plaster in Dining Room wall.
  • Edmond, OK - No property damage. A rolling and shaking motion felt like at least a 6 in magnitude.
  • Moore, Oklahoma - It lasted about 10-15 seconds
  • Oklahoma City - Shook for about 10 to 15 seconds.
  • S.Broadway and SW 59 St - strong earthquake we felt about 10 mins ago. and an after shock afterwards...scary feeling
  • North Oklahoma City - Sitting in living room. Sounded like a truck was going to crash into house. Shook for a minute. Much bigger than the 5.0 of several years ago.
  • Oklahoma City - mirrors shaking, lamps shaking
  • Oklahoma City - No damage done
  • Oklahoma City - Windows rattled, very long shaking. Walls shook, ceiling fan shook, things on mantle fell to floor. Things fell off of wall. Lost phone connections. Not sure of damage to house. Lots of snow shaken off though.
  • Oklahoma City - felt shaking for about 60 seconds around 12:10 p.m. Whole family here and we all felt it shaking - the windows even raddled !
  • Oklahoma City - 5-10 seconds of moderate shaking; no damage.
  • The Village, OK - The Village, OK. Entire house shook with a low roar rising up from the ground. Item on shelf shook but nothing fell off the wall.
  • Oklahoma City - Knocked picture frames over

  • Stillwater - No damage, rumbling sound, pics on wall shook
  • Stillwater, OK - I'm a native Californian so this one, which I suspect it's due to local fracking, wsn't a big deal. Probably in the 3.0 range. It did last quite a long time, however, tapering off very slowly.
  • Midwest City - Approximately 12:15 CDT house began to shake and heard loud rumble for about 1 minute
  • 31St and MIngo - We've had some quakes the last few years. They shook for seconds. This was different. It was one strong rattle and quite loud. The previous quakes were never particularly audible. This sounded like Santa landing on the roof. A sudden jolt, then nothing.
  • Stillwater, OK - No damage. Kids and I felt it throughout the house. Lasted 1-2 seconds.
  • Oklahoma City - NO damage, but building and contents were visibly shaking. Book shelves were moving and customers moved out and away from stacks.
  • OKC - Shaking sort of rumbling all the snow came of the roof
  • Oklahoma City - Heard something that sounded similar to a bang, then felt some light shaking for about 5-10 seconds
  • Edmond - Entire house/pictures shaking
  • Piedmont, OK - Dont know about any damage, we have freezing weather with snow on the gound. House was shaken like someone in a truck hit it. Lasted half a minute or so.
  • Choctaw - house shook - everyone awake noticed
  • Edmond, Oklahoma - we are watching the OU OSU football game and the quake rolled across our house; this seemed stronger that the largest one Oklahoma had a couple of years ago
  • Oklahoma City - 12:07 December 7, 2013 The front of the house shook and the shaking seemed to go through the house all the way to the back like a wave, lasting a few seconds.
  • Oklahoma City - No damage, significant, visible shaking for several seconds.

  • Oklahoma City - Awoken by heavy shaking, bed felt like it was moving in circular direction. Lasted a long time
  • Oklahoma City - TV nearly fell, no damage, though pet scared to death.
  • Moore, Oklahoma - shook cubbords
  • Choctaw, OK - Wife and i felt house vibrating
  • Oklahoma City - I'm at work and felt shaking for several seconds. I'm in a fairly old building and the whole thing shook, metal shelving was shaking.
  • Tahlequah - No damage
  • Stillwater - No damage, just lot of vibration of walls and furniture. Good, solid 15 seconds
  • Choctaw - House shook about 5 seconds. Creaking noises,All in house felt and heard it. No damage.
  • Oklahoma City - House shook for about 7 seconds.
  • Norman - Around 12:10pm shook the whole house. Woke up the dog.
  • Edmond, Oklahoma - I felt an earthquake 12:12pm it shook the house for at least a minute. It was one of the worst I have felt.
  • Edmond - House had an abrupt shake begin and lasted for quite some time!
  • Oklahoma City - sounded like an airplane flying near then shaking the house
  • Edmond Oklahoma - The house shuttered and shook for several seconds. This one made lots of noise. I thought major tree branches had come off since we have lots of snow.
  • Edmond, OK - That was probably the strongest Earthquake I have felt in Oklahoma. Seemed to last a bit longer than others I have felt also.
  • Moore - Bed and objects were shaking at about 12:08 PM.
  • Norman, OK - The house shook! No damage.
  • Edmond - Shaking for several seconds; some picture frames fell and some cracks in drywall
  • Okc - Rumbling sound, felt shaking through chair and with feet on ground, lasted approximately 15 seconds
  • Oklahoma City - Windows were rattling, my bed was shaking.
  • Norman - Ground floor of apartment building walls rattled it lasted around 15 seconds.
  • Oklahoma City - Water in the aquarium sloshing around. Things fell off top shelf of large built in bookcase.
  • Edmond, Oklahoma - Felt inside and outside my MIL's home on east side of Edmond, OK. Ground, walls, glass, and shelf items all shook.
  • Tulsa, OK - Sudden weak "jolt." No damage.
  • Oklahoma City - Sitting at computer and room shook for several seconds (liquid on table was sloshed around)
  • Edmond, Oklahoma - Pictures displaced on wall, cans in pantry knocked over, could barely keep balance trying to weak across the room. Seemed to last a long time
  • Norman - House shook, series of repetitive vibrations combined with loud popping noise, cats started looking around as if trying to locate noise.
  • Bixby - I was currently on the toilet after an altercation with bad milk I had for breakfast and thought "oh my god, I'm literally shaking the house." Needless to say, after having family in SoCal, I'm just now realizing it was an earthquake and I won't be inducted into X-men for having earth shaking methane release. I was getting excited there.
  • Mulvane - I was sitting reading in Mulvane K's and the house shook for 10 -15 secs
  • Edmond - I felt it about 10 minutes ago in Edmond, OK. (about 12:12 pm)
  • Norman, OK - Probably low on the scale but rocking back and forth was felt and heard a cracking sound.
  • OKC - Shook underfoot and all doors and shelves on wall.
  • Edmond - Heavy shaking, no damage
  • oklahoma city - I heard a rumbling like a semi was driving by the house then shaking - some toys fell off a shelf
  • Edmond - The quake traveled from East to West through my house and lasted somewhere from 5-9 seconds. I am unsure of damage.There is not inside the house, but we have snow on the ground so I have not checked the exterior.News report has just confirmed a 4.5 earthquake.
  • Del City - Shaking lasted several seconds. Seemed like mild after shocks. Longest lasting yet
  • Oklahoma City - Shock building for extended time all items on shelves shaking.
  • Edmond - Walls shaking
  • Oklahoma City - Sitting on couch, felt strong shaking for ~10 seconds.
  • Yukon/ Oklahoma - No damage seen...Just shaking and swaying of house, furniture, ceiling fans. Nothing out of place. Lasted about 45 seconds.
  • Bethany - It shook the whole house at 12:11 p.m. today, 12/7/13 for about a minute, then a couple minutes later had a very weak aftershock and now about 10 minutes later an even weaker aftershock, but shaking for a second.
  • Norman - About 1:15 Ice broke off the roof and rolling began--several more rolling episodes since.
  • Edmond, OK - The house shook more than it has from any other earthquake in the past three years. I don't know of property damage.
  • Midwest City, Oklahoma - No damages observed.
  • Norman, OK - No property damage. Shook 5-10 seconds. BOOMER SOONER. OSU Sucks.
  • NW 220 Street - No damage that we are aware of at this time. Strong shaking for this area
  • Oklahoma City - I'm on the 3rd floor of an apartment complex...I felt a continuous rolling jolt and then a visible jerk. My apartment sounded, felt, and looked like an old wooden ship taking a rough series of waves. No damage that I am aware of...just momentarily a tad freaked out.
  • 122nd St and Pennsylvania avenue - it hit hard without warning and was shaking violently before calming down to shaking plants for around 15 more seconds.
  • Norman - light shake but noticeable.
  • Moore - No damage, but it felt like something hit my house and like the roof was lifting off.
  • Oklahoma City - Heard loud bang and bed and ceiling fan shook. Dogs visibly up
  • Oklahoma City - Shook the entire house for about 5 seconds.
  • Stillwater, OK - No damage
  • Tulsa - Strong loud shaking in northwest Tulsa. Dishes rattling. Lasted around 10 sec.
  • Oklahoma City - Quake seems to travel from South to North, caused items to fall off of shelves. One strong shock followed by small tremors. Lasted just a second or two. Sounded like something hit the house.
  • Coweta - We felt and heard shaking of home for about 5 seconds.
  • Oklahoma City - Started slow, rolling motions, lasted about 30 seconds. Whole house moved.
  • Yukon, OK - At about 12:15. No damage.
  • Oklahoma City - Chandeliers shaking. Very loud. Picture frames crooked. Objects falling off shelves. Lasted probably 10 Seconds.
  • Edmond - Came from a southeast direction. Felt like a M 5.8-6.0. Shook the house for several seconds like 15 or so.
  • Edmond/Oklahoma - There's no damage, but it was a roaring boom sound for like a few seconds, shook everything in the house and a picture feel off the wall, I've been living here 3 years and nothing has ever feel off the wall!
  • Oklahoma City - whole house shook for about 20 sec, no dmg,
  • Norman, OK - Shook the whole house. Felt stronger on higher stories.
  • Oklahoma City - Shook pretty good for at least 15-20 seconds.
  • Tulsa - Seemed to shake hardest at onset then continued for about 20-25 seconds
  • Oklahoma City - I moved from So Cal to OKC. Odd to feel earthquakes here, and the incident is getting more freq
  • Oklahoma City - Our frame pictures hanging on the walls were shaking at approximately 12:11 CDT today. It seems to have lasted about 20 seconds at least.
  • Norman - Slight swaying motion with blinds and ceiling fans.
  • The Village, Oklahoma City - No property damage. Felt around 12:12pm. Entire house shook, felt like entire foundation was moving, everything in house rattled. Pictures all over the house are crooked. Cats took cover. Seemed like it went on a very long time but am sure it was just 30-60 seconds.
  • warr acres - Heard loud long rumbling & bed shook for 15 secs?
  • Seminole, OK - I heard a noise then the couch I was sitting on started to shake. The Christmas tree and television began to rock. It lasted for only a few seconds.
  • Moore - Whole house shook.
  • Edmond - I was standing at stove top frying hash browns, when simultaneously we tipped North and I heard the loud rumble. Items on North facing walls fell off. I felt off balance and was afraid the pans were going to slide toward me.
  • Tulsa - I was sitting on couch and it started to shake. The dogs went crazy. No damage
  • Edmond, OK - lon damage but about 10-15 seconds in duration ..was either a bigger magatude or closer I am guessing and NOT from the Bedlam game :)
  • Edmond, OK - rolling strong tremor, east to west.
  • wichita, ks - Only felt it for a few seconds, but it was enough to shake the sofa I'm sitting on in a second story apartment.
  • Moore OK - Initial hard jolt as though something had hit the house, then moderate to mild shaking for another 10-15 seconds. No obvious damage
  • Oklahoma City - Wow... 10+ seconds, moderate shaking.
  • Norman - On the 4th floor of a building on campus. Shook for several seconds back and forth
  • Midwest City, Oklahoma - It shook our apartment building. Things on table moved around.
  • OKC - Around 12:11 just sitting on the couch, suddenly the whole house just starts to shake, could visibly see the ripple go through. Then immediately following a smaller sort of vibration. Freaky for sure. No damage that I know of yet.
  • Edmond - Felt for about 8 seconds, floors and walls shook.
  • NE Oklahoma City - No damage noticed, loud bang and subsequent shaking and creaking of apartment for about a 15 sec.
  • Yukon OKL - No damagee
  • Western edge of Tulsa County - Vibrated the office chair I'm sitting in on carpeted flooring for about 10-15 seconds. shook the desk lamp slightly.
  • Oklahoma City - Good strong shaking on the second story of an office building
  • 1417 N Yellowood Ave - No damage, just shaking while sitting on couch
  • Tulsa, Okla - Hard, quick shake with slight "drop" feeling and roof, doors, rattle but, no items feel. Believe it may have caused slight foundation movement. Loud, sounded like something large falling & hitting near by or very Large Truck. Shorter than last big one here but, felt like a wee stronger "jolt".
  • Edmond - These are happening all the time over the last couple months..just 7 To 12 miles east of me, this was the strongest so far....i have also noticed strange objects In the sky over the area at the same time as the quakes..they move like a really close asteroid of somesorts..at a really fast speed...jus sayin so. .ceiling fans Almost shook off the mount..no damage
  • Oklahoma City - Whole house was shaking
  • Tulsa - Tulsa, OK Sitting in my bed and shook the whole bed for 15 or so seconds. My husband in the other part of the house did not feel it.
  • Oklahoma City - tossed me out of bed (nap time).Foot of bed 'jumping' up and down, felt floor 'roll' while going down my hall. EVERYTHING in house was rattling and rocking!
  • Midwest City - Shook whole apartment complex after loud bang... shaking persisted about a minute.
  • Tulsa - Shook entire upstairs of house lasting for about 10-15 seconds.
  • Oklahoma City - Felt the foundation settling along with some movements in the windows. Lasted about 4 seconds (of active shaking).
  • Edmond - Entire house shook - rolling tremor sustained for several seconds to a minute or so.
  • Guthrie - 3 to 5 seconds of shaking, rumbling sound.
  • Edmond, OK - Two of us were seated. We felt what seemed like sudden impact against the house, and it creaked. It was followed by a second lighter impact feeling. There was no rumble, nor did any other effect. But the floor felt like it moved. No damage here, but it was a strange earthquake.
  • Bethany - No damage - just shaking and felt sliding? and some noise in house
  • Oklahoma City - just started feeling the vibrating shaking feeling then when you think its fading the second different wave that makes things wiggle side to side ..stuff on desks and walls and tv antenna wiggles like a fish nibbling makes a fishing pole wiggle only rhythmic.. lasted for a min or so.. not real long.. my dogs come to me and look at me to see if I noticed..lol
  • Norman, OK - 12:10 PM Sat. 12/07/2013-Norman, OK. I Felt It!! No Damage To (My Parents') House, Though....
  • South OKC - Heard/felt a loud boom (almost like a sonic boom); bed started rocking back and forth (east to west); cats up and disturbed; heard glass clinking at other end of house
  • Owasso - shook a package against the wall.
  • Oklahoma City - A little after noon, my husband and I were in kitchen and heard loud rumbling. Kitchen cabinet doors rattled. Mini Schnauzer ran in kitchen scared.
  • Harrah - The chair I was sitting in rocked up abt 1 inch, heard a slight boom and plastic lids on cabinet were thrown on the floor.
  • Jones - Heard rolling in for several seconds. Shook house hard for several seconds. Lights flickered off. Pictures rocked sideways and everything shook hard. Cracks in sheet rock. Have not inspected brick yet but suspect cracks in same it was so hard. worst felt yet.
  • Moore ok - Loud bang shook the house and rattled windows for about 45 seconds. Initial violent shake startled dog who was visibly upset for several minutes. Swings in the backyard were swinging as if someone was in them.
  • El Reno - NO DAMAGE BUT VERY STRANGE SITTING IN Chair and it is shaking with no equipment running in house to cause it. Time12:10 pm.
  • Oklahoma City - Loud boom followed by good shaking. Pictures and other things rattled and moved, none fell. Pictures on walls are askew. Cats extremely nervous.
  • NW Oklahoma City - Sudden loud noise outside immediatley followed by joud rumbling through house, strong shaking of computer desk, furniture, not water heater and furnace unit banging, the entire time you could hear loud rumbling outside and vibration as it continued to travel through my neighborhood and down the street, could hear banging from neighbors house 20 feet outside my back door.
  • Oklahoma City - Loud boom and the whole ground started moving and chair started swaying about 10-15 seconds.
  • Noble ok - Thought dog bumped my chair
  • Valley View, TX - Noticeable shaking for approx 10-15 seconds. Not enough to rattle dishes, but stronger than large truck driving by. We are in rural TX, SE of Gainsville.
  • Norman - One somewhat large initial shake, then subsequent light shaking for 2-3 minutes.
  • Edmond, OK - Just after noon it started shaking, and lasted at least 30 secs, maybe longer. I didn't hear a boom, but it's the most my house has ever shaken to my knowledge. No damage that I know of.
  • NW Oklahoma City - From the 8th floor of our 15 story apartment tower, my 4-year old and I watched and heard the windows, walls, and ceiling shaking in horror as I envisioned the whole tower crumbling on top of itself like an accordion. Christmas tree was shaking. Eerie, high-pressure sound/sensation. Nothing broke in apartment or else I'd certainly be reporting what we felt as "moderate" shaking (based off corresponding descriptions of varying degrees of shaking). Wow...that was ****ing scary.
  • Edmond - No damage, the entire apartment complex shook violently and there was a loud roaring sound.
  • Oklahoma City - At 12:15pm, at Walker Station Apts, I was laying down on my bed, when all of a sudden, I felt the floor vibrate very strongly, my bed shook, and my windows were rumbling so strong that I thought they were going to burst. Very scary.
  • Oklahoma City - No damage. Recognized by oscillation nature of 'shake' rather than truck. Would have to have been one of those engineering marvel dump trucks carting a small mountain.
  • Norman, OK - Heard boom like a sonic boom followed by prolonged rattling of window. Felt shaking for a few seconds. Not sure about damage.
  • Mustang, OK - Heard a light boom at 2:11p.m. and saw the leaves on the fern plant viberating.
  • NW Tulsa - We heard a boom sound, very light shaking, ice/snow slid off the roof in 10 degree (no sun) weather.
  • Will Rogers world airport - At the airport heard rather loud rumble followed by strong jolt. Thought a plane had crashed
  • Ada - Sitting on sofa and felt an upward jolt and thought it might be an earthquake but wasn't sure. Just checked online and found out there was one. Was surprised that I could feel it all the way down here in Ada. No damage known.
  • Admiral Blvd. - big boom ,little shake
  • Lees Summit - My husband and I were in separate rooms. I was laying down and felt the bed shake a little, he yelled in asking if I felt that! He had a glass of water on his desk and he could see the water swaying in the glass.
  • Tulsa - Pictures on walls and items on tables rattled. Sitting in a chair on the second floor of a townhouse, I felt strong vibrations and it seemed like the building was swaying east and west.
  • Oklahoma - I felt very weak shaking and heard a low rumble sound about 20 minutes ago. I saw Christmas bulbs sway slightly.
  • Okmulgee/Oklahoma - Very loud rumbling and shaking. Ice breaking of decking, sounded like several large gorillas were running, jumping, and shaking the the decking and posts. The couch I was laying on started to shake in a swaying motion. It felt as if the house would float and then shake vigorously. This lasted shortly. Damage unknown, due to weather conditions.
  • Norman, OK - I was shook from the side to side sitting on my sofa, then heard a rumble move further south, while my wife said the bed rocked a little bit.
  • Oklahoma City - loud boom and strong very quite movement followed by a couple aftershocks
  • Edmond OK - I felt an earthquake about 5:57pm. Not as strong as the one earlier today that rocked our home and knocked me off my feet.
  • Muskogee, OK - felt it, thought it might be an earthquake,moderate shaking, seemed to last a while
  • South Tulsa - Have home and office within half mile of each other. Was felt and heard in both locations. Dogs reacted before we heard it and felt it. Rattling, vibrating and shaking--inside--no damage
  • Tulsa - No damage, just a bit shaken up. Lol
  • Broken Arrow - No damage. House shaking & settling.
  • Oklahoma City - Don't know why but expected this since earthquake bk in nov yrs ago. Out of the blue started. Lamp shade had little beads and I noticed them jumping. Not as scary this time. Didn't last long
  • Oklahoma City - I was in bed at the time, around 2:25pm, and my bed started shaking as if someone was rocking it.
  • Wichita - I was sitting in an office chair. I felt minor side-to-side motion.
  • Stillwater, OK - This was brief but felt like a car ran into our house. Scared the cats.
  • Deer Creek - Very weak but lasted about 30 seconds. Maybe a two. Shaking.
  • NE Oklahoma City - The quakes continue. Won't be long before we start getting significant damage from large ones. Not a worse city or state to be living in.
  • oklahoma - Was in bed asleep and woke up to bed vibrating lasted several seconds.

    Small unstable objects are displaced or upset. Some glassware and crockery may be broken. Hanging pictures knock against the wall. Open doors may swing. Cupboard doors secured by magnetic catches may open. Pendulum clocks stop, start, or change rate.
    Structures :
    Some large display windows cracked. A few earthenware toilet fixtures cracked.
    MMI VI (Strong shaking) ?
    People Felt by all. People and animals alarmed. Many run outside. Difficulty experienced in walking steadily.
    Fittings :
    Objects fall from shelves. Pictures fall from walls. Some furniture moved on smooth floors, some unsecured free-standing fireplaces moved. Glassware and crockery broken. Very unstable furniture overturned. Small church and school bells ring. Appliances move on bench or table tops. Filing cabinets or "easy glide" drawers may open (or shut).
    Structures :
    Slight damage to buildings with low standard. Some stucco or cement plaster falls. Large display windows broken. Damage to a few weak domestic chimneys, some may fall.
    Environment :
    Trees and bushes shake, or are heard to rustle. Loose material may be dislodged from sloping ground, e.g. existing slides, talus slopes, shingle slides.

    General alarm. Difficulty experienced in standing. Noticed by motorcar drivers who may stop.
    Fittings :
    Large bells ring. Furniture moves on smooth floors, may move on carpeted floors. Substantial damage to fragile contents of buildings.
    Structures :
    Unreinforced stone and brick walls cracked. Low standard buildings cracked with some minor masonry falls. A few instances of damage to buildings of ordinary workmanship. Unbraced parapets, unbraced brick gables, and architectural ornaments fall. Roofing tiles, especially ridge tiles may be dislodged. Many unreinforced domestic chimneys damaged, often falling from roof-line. Water tanks Type I burst. A few instances of damage to brick veneers and plaster or cement-based linings. Unrestrained water cylinders (hot-water cylinders) may move and leak. Some common windows cracked. Suspended ceilings damaged.
    Environment :
    Water made turbid by stirred up mud. Small slides such as falls of sand and gravel banks, and small rock-falls from steep slopes and cuttings. Instances of settlement of unconsolidated or wet, or weak soils. Some fine cracks appear in sloping ground. A few instances of liquefaction (i.e. small water and sand ejections).
    MMI VIII (Severe shaking) ?
    People Alarm may approach panic. Steering of motorcars greatly affected. Structures : Low standard buildings heavily damaged, some collapse. ordinary workmanship buildings damaged, some with partial collapse. Reinforced masonry or concrete buildings damaged in some cases. A few instances of damage to buildings and bridges designed and built to resist earthquakes. Monuments and pre-1976 elevated tanks and factory stacks twisted or brought down. Some pre-1965 infill masonry panels damaged. A few post-1980 brick veneers damaged. Decayed timber piles of houses damaged. Houses not secured to foundations may move. Most unreinforced domestic chimneys damaged, some below roof-line, many brought down. Environment : Cracks appear on steep slopes and in wet ground. Small to moderate slides in roadside cuttings and unsupported excavations. Small water and sand ejections and localized lateral spreading adjacent to streams, canals, lakes, etc.
    MMI IX (Violent shaking) ?
    Structures Many low standard buildings destroyed. Ordinary workmanship buildings heavily damaged, some collapse. Reinforced masonry or concrete buildings damaged, some with partial collapse. Buildings and bridges designed and built to resist earthquakes damaged in some cases, some with flexible frames seriously damaged. Damage or permanent distortion to some buildings and bridges, designed and built to normal use standards. Houses not secured to foundations shifted off. Brick veneers fall and expose frames. Environment : Cracking of ground conspicuous. Landsliding general on steep slopes. Liquefaction effects intensified and more widespread, with large lateral spreading and flow sliding adjacent to streams, canals, lakes, etc.
