  • Eureka - I felt 2 jolts about 2 sec apart.
  • Trinidad - Two jolts
  • Eureka ,Ca - It was very strong and quick.
  • Eureka, CA - I felt the earthquake at about 4:05 PM Eureka, CA time. It was a couple of jolts and I heard a cup rattle in the cupboard at home. Nothing broke or fell, though.
  • Eureka - Was standing in my store helping customers when we heard a fairly loud boom, and things started shaking. My dog was very upset so I was mostly calming him down. My customers had just moved to California, so this was their 1st earthquake.
  • Ferndale, CA - Had a good jolt to it. Felt stronger than a 4.9.
  • Fortuna, CA - Small then large jolt.
  • McKinleyville - very short here, maybe 2 seconds. I'm guessing here on the level. Not sure which level to give it but I've lived here about 1.5 years and this may be the strongest I've felt yet - like the house got bumped with a truck or something
  • Eureka - 2 jolts felt
  • Eureka, California, USA - Just a quick jolt - felt like about a 5 on the Richter scale
  • Chico - very mild shaking in upstairs of home
  • Blue Lake - I felt a good jolt and heard everything jump.
  • Eureka CA - 3rd floor of old building, shook noticeably and for long enough duration that staff got in doorways. At home in mckinleyville bf reports small things fell off shelf
  • McKinleyville, CA - Good shaker... came in two waves
  • Eureka (Three Corners) - One maderate jolt and then 5 seconds of mild shaking
  • Eureka - At work, building shook.
  • Eureka - Strong jolt followed by another a couple of seconds later. Building kept swaying for several seconds after second jolt, felt like it may have been a longer but weaker aftershock, or it could have been the building (I was on the second story).
  • Fortuna - Strong Jolt! It knocked pictures onto the floor.
  • Arcata - 2 waves felt a few seconds apart
  • Eureka - Two jolts 1st one seamed to be sharper and more vertical.

  • Eureka - my tv shook and i thought it was over cause thats how most of the quakes have felt that ive experienced. then my whole mobile home shook violently and i have never seen my house shake like that before. then i went outside and felt some aftershocks 10 minutes later. i thought it was much bigger than a 5.0.
  • Manila - A pretty good shaker.
  • Eureka, CA, USA - thought my wife was shaking the couch to wake me up cause I was resting and i asked her to stop and she said earthquake and we all jumped up and went for the door and then the two slams hit and all the furniture jumped and moved. Knocked a few things over. It was a up and down motion felt soft (but moderate) and spongy shaking for 15 seconds followed by two violent slams right after. My friend was outside and said all our cars were rolling up and down not side to side.
  • Eureka - Boom sound. Dogs started barking.
  • Freshwater - two jolts, second bigger than first. Some things fell off shelves upstairs but no breakage.

  • Arcata, CA - A sharp jolt followed by light shaking. On the 4th floor of a four story building.
  • McKinleyville - Rather strong shaking with objects rattling around the house. Then another shorter jolt within seconds.
  • Eureka - It started slowly, with a little shaking that I recognized as the beginning of an earthquake, but no one else really looked up (in the restaurant), then it got stronger and shook the whole place. Everyone stopped talking and started looking around. People who had never felt an earthquake asked if this was an earthquake. Kinda funny...
  • Bayside, CA - Two jolts
  • Eureka - felt and heard the mall move
  • Eureka, Carson Park area. - I was working online in my bedroom when the quake gave the house a couple good jolts (I heard a cup fall off the pedestal sink in the bathroom) and then it rolled lightly for quite a while. • Santa Cruz - Was at my computer when I felt it shake slightly, then intensify quickly. Everything moved. The top level of the building moved in the other direction of the lower level. Dogs barked and car alarms triggered. Was certainly strong and lasted about 25sec. Stayed under a door jam while my heart raced!
