September 6 , 2012 volcano activity
The daily reports have been temporarily suspended because of travel period and a lot of earthquake activity.

I am back to civilization for nine days! (Rodger is working as a field geologist).
In my absence (16 August – 05 September) small to moderate earthquakes swarms have occurred at Iliamna (2-3) and Four-Peaked volcanoes (AK), Mount Hood (OR), Lassen Peak and Long Valley Caldera (CA), Cumbal (Colombia), while seismicity (and in some cases, eruptive activity) has diminished at Popocatepetl (Mexico), Fuego (Guatemala), Nevado Del Ruiz, Galeras, and Sotara (all in Colombia), and at Tungurahua (Ecuador).
Substantial, possibly pre-eruptive seismicity (co-eruptive in the case of Bezymianny volcano Kamchatka) has developed at Bezymianny volcano (Kamchatka), Little Sitkin and, to some extent, Makushin volcanoes (Aleutians), and at Pacaya volcano (Guatemala).
We should keep our eyes on Central American volcanoes following the large Costa Rican earthquake.
I have included current seismograms from Little Sitkin (LSSA), Makushin (MSW) and Pacaya (PCG) showing the elevated seismicity affecting each.
A seismogram from Nevado Del Ruiz (OLLZ) shows that, while tremor has diminished at the volcano, earthquake activity continues. The alert level at Ruiz was reduced yesterday by INGEOMINAS from “orange” to “yellow”.

An eruption was reported at Anak Krakatau with a lava flow (see also video below)
