  • 06700 St laurent du var - short about 4s but very impressive furniture moving and all building shaking !
  • Valbonne - Bruit sourd suivi de secousses légères pendant 15 à 20s (mouvement des lampes posées sur les tables) aucune réaction des chats.
  • Mougins - il y a des objects qui bouges un peu
  • Nice - Deux secousses ressentie pendant plusieur ssecondes j'ai eu vraiment peur car c'est rare de bouger autant et aussi longtemps.
  • Beausoleil - Le lit a bougé pendant qq secondes par vagues bien distinctes
  • Nice - I am on the 4th. floor of Radisson Blue Hotel on Promenade des Anglais and felt 10 or more seconds of moderate shaking.
  • Barcelonnette - Secousses impressionnantes, Tout le quartier a été réveillé.
  • Vallauris - Crackling noise. Everything that moves under your feet for about 5s. I live on the 2nd floor.
  • Antibes Fort Carré - Plus gros ressenti jusqu'à présent pour une ancienne maitre chien formé en décombres: portes fenêtres qui craquent, grosses vibrations des portes de placards sur rails, secousse de 7 secondes minimum.
  • Grasse - Was awesome.
  • Saint-Laurent du Var - Tremblements ressentis entre 3 et 10 secondes, tintements d'objets, craquement des meubles sous les secousses puis calme complet, surface d'un verre d'eau au repos (pas de tremblements residuels juste apres)
  • Cagnes sur Mer - Bruit sourd, 2 secousses de 4 à 5 secondes qui ont fait trembler les tableaux et les cloisons de la maison
  • Villars sur Var - Tremblements bien ressentis, les vases ont tremblé et les meubles ont legerement secoues.
  • Beaulieu sur Mer - Ressentie quelques secondes
  • La Seyne sur Mer - Bien calé sur une chaise de bureau qui tourne, j'ai senti celle ci vasciller, comme si une petite vague était passé dessous pendant une à deux secondes. Cela fait vraiment bizarre. J'ai de suite pensé à un tremblement de terre !
  • Antibes - J'étais allongée quand j'ai senti la baie vitrée vibrer. Doucement d'abord puis ça s'est renforcé. Ca a duré 5 à 10 secondes je dirais.
  • Saint Maximin la Sainte Baume - Un bruit sourd comme un choc, puis la table et les murs se sont mis à trembler pendant quelques secondes. Ma mère a l'étage inférieur a senti son lit trembler. Très bref mais impressionnant.
  • Mons, Var - 23h 37 à Mons (83) au dessus de Grasse (06)
  • Marseille - En train de chatter sur internet en tailleur sur mon lit avec un Costaricien qui a bien rigolé de mon
  • Nice - Tremblements ressenti au 4e étage, tout l'immeuble a bougé et les meubles tremblés : impressionant ! Deux secousses consécutives d'une dizaine de secondes en tout, je dirais. La chienne instantanément en alerte, tout comme le chat qui, lui, n'a toujours pas l'air
  • France - 2 secousses en suivant pendant 4-5sec. Fenetres qui ont tremblé.
  • Cannes - c'est de plus en plus fréquent
  • Grasse - I thought the Mistral was starting to blow violently with the doors and windows shaking twice!
  • Grasse - Un premier tremblement dans la maison, puis un second, moins intense.
  • Antibes - Antibes 23.45 quelques secondes...assez 'intense' vu le silence de la nuit...les petits bruits étaient évidents.
  • Fréjus - 23:40 approximativement, 3ème étage d'un immeuble, je suis sur une chaise au salon devant mon pc. Vibrations sous mes pieds nus, sensations que les vibrations s'amplifient légèrement, comme si le sol bougeait légèrement. Bruit sourd très lointain mais pas certaine car la télé fonctionnait en bruit de fond.
  • Brignoles - j'Etais dans mon lit entrain de dormir quand il s'est mi a bouger. Cela m'a réveillé. j'ai eu peur, cela m'a réveillé je pensais que j'avais rêvé, car rien de signaler sur le net jusqu'à ce matin!
  • Mougins - Mon lit a tremblé pendant 3 ou 4 secondes.
  • Monaco - very light shaking. Felt in bed with some furniture shaking.
  • Toulon - Movimentação do edifício unidirecional, com duração entre 5 a 10 segundos. Estava em repouso e senti a cama (dupla) que estava encostada à parede, bater contra a parede repetidamente. Não foram sentidos abalos secundários.
  • Cap D'ail - Bed shook for around 15 secs.
  • Villefranche sur Mer - I though it was my husband shaking his leg, while I was reading in bed.
  • Châteauroux les Alpes - Impressionnant et surprenant de sentir la maison trembler...
  • Melezen, Saint Paul sur Ubaye - Next to 23.47 also one at 00.30, but not as heavy. No damage or avalanches as far as we can see now.
  • Bar sur Loup - A fairly loud noise then between 5-7 seconds of shaking. I was in bed and it made me feel sick. At least one rooftile moved. It took me a while to realise what it was.
  • Nice - J'ai ressenti un tremblement sous mes pieds et j'ai entendu un grondement (comme l'essorage d'une machine à laver). Ma chienne, qui dormait, s'est levée et s'est dirigée vers le centre de l'appartement et a été à l'entrée de chaque pièce pour voir ce qui se passait. Elle a été sur ses gardes pendant environ une 1/2 heur, puis elle s'est rendormie
  • Toulon - Eram cerca de 23:40 de 26/02/2012 no 4º piso dum edifício em Toulon, França; e eu estava deitado na minha cama, a ver um filme no computador, quando senti durante uns 5 a 10 segundos a cama abanar e bater contra a parede.
  • Vaulnaveys le Haut - J'étais couchée et mon lit a bougé pendant plusieurs secondes, la sensation d'être dans une barque qui tanguait. Mon chien a hurlé à la mort au même instant. J'ai regardé mon réveil il était exactement 23h39.
  • Le Cannet - La secousse a réveillé mon fils en sursaut. Une chaise s'est déplacée dans sa chambre. Assise sur mon lit je l'ai ressentie fortement, les fenêtres se sont misent à trembler. Nous sommes sortis immédiatement de la maison. Quelques jours après je constate de nouvelles fissures dans le marbre du sol.

  • Cannes - La secousse m'a réveillée, le lit s'est mis à bouger et les placards de la chambre vibraient fortement, cela a duré environ 10 secondes.
  • Cagnes sur mer - Mon canapé bougeait. Je pensais que j'avais la tête qui tournait. Quand j'ai vu les boules du sapin de Noël bouger, j'ai compris. (oui je sais je n'ai toujours pas rangé le sapin)
  • Antibes - 23.45 quartier de la Fontonne. Sensation de vagues et canapés légèrement secoués. Par contre, grondement audible durée de quelques secondes mais long pour les personnes peu ou prou confrontées aus séismes.
  • Cannes - 23.40 environ secousse de moins de 10 secondes, c'est de plus en plus fréquent.

  • Juan les Pins - j étais assise devant mon ordinateur. j'ai ressentie comme une vague de quelques secondes, légère mais toutefois perceptible, j'habite au 2 éme étage à Juan les Pins
  • Nice - Pas d'experience, mais secousses ressenties.
  • Vence - Toute la maison a tremblé. On a eu peur et on s'est cachés sous les draps.
  • Saint Cézaire sur Siagne - Secousse ressentie également, j'étais debout.
  • Antibes - J'étais allongée sur mon canapé et j'ai eu l'impression que l'on
  • Antibes - Secouse entre 4 et 8 secondes à 23h40. j' habite au 2 eme étage
  • Vallauris - Tout a vibrer pendant 5 sec, télé, canapé : drole de sensention
  • Mandelieu - Light shaking indicated
  • Vence - 10 secondes de tremblement vers 23h40. Toute la maison a tremblé.
  • Saint-Jeannet, Alpes Maritimes - Environ 23h40 Mon bureau a tremblé : l'ordinateur s'est légèrement déplacé. Le chien est venu me trouver alors qu'il dormait profondément. Quelques secondes.
  • Antibes - Assez impressionnant - entre cinq et dix secondes, intensité oscillante!
  • Antibes - Tremblement du batiment et secousses au niveau des meubles. Plutôt sensation de vagues. Ressenti vers 23.45
  • Vars 05560 - Le plafond a tremblé vigoureusement plusieurs secondes ainsi que le reste. Bruit sourd et animaux inquièts voire affolés. Escalier très bruyant car vibrant puis plus rien . Grosse frayeur
  • Brignoles - Weak shaking indicated
  • Vallauris - Villa in Vallauris. Two distinct shakes East / West each of a few seconds with a couple of seconds between.
  • Cannes - 23.40 environ secousse de moins de 10 secondes, c'est de plus en plus fréquent
  • Roquebrune Cap Martin - j'ai senti vibrer quelques secondes vers 23h40
  • La Roquette sur Siagne - j'etais assis sur mon canapé d'un coup tout à tremblé comme si quelqu un le poussait tres fort et le sol grondait c'est une sensation vraiment etrange. Cela à duré 4 à 5 secondes
  • Antibes - Le mur contre lequel j'étais adossée s'est mis à trembler, il y avait un gros bruit semblable à celui d'une machine à laver qui grondait très fort et le bruit d'un meuble qui
  • Contes - Le plancher a tremblé assez fort pour que je regroupe mes enfants, ah! ces vieux bâtiments!!! Je ne suis pas très tranquille, un peu de peur car tout a vibré.
  • Mandelieu La Napoule - 2ème fois pour nous que l'on en ressent un ! on était assis sur le canapé à regarder la TV et d'un coup tout bougeait chacun pensait que l'autre faisait remuer le canapé mais pas du tout. ça a bien duré. c'était flippant !
  • Cagnes sur Mer - J'ai senti mon canapé bouger, mais je pensais que j'avais la tête qui tournait. Quand j'ai vu les boules du sapin qui bougeaient j'ai compris. ( oui j'ai pas encore ranger le sapin).
  • Cannes - Les volets ont commencé a claqué puis mon lit et les meubles ont tremblés c t impressionnant!
  • Draguignan - Sur le canapé tranquille. d'un cou un gros bruit sourd et tout ses mis a trembler , une secousse assez forte , le chat apeuré ...bref s’était impressionnant
  • Cagnes-sur-Mer - Loud sound , then moderate shaking , but impressive vibration of windows and glasses during 10 sec ! All the flat on second floor look firmly going up and down , TV moving , just get out and see light pylons shaking. First one so strong feeling in this area for more than 30 years
  • Grenoble - Ca a pas mal tremblé (meubles, plantes et nous-même) pendant 5 secondes. Dernier et 5e étage de l'immeuble. J'en veux encore...
  • La Roquette sur Siagne - Je viens de vérifier car j'ai de suite tapé sur internet pour savoir si quelqu'un avait ressenti comme moi et savoir mais pour moi c'est a 23h 40 et non 22h40 que la secousse c'est produite, j'etait sur le canapé qui a fortement tremblé et quand j'ai ouvert ma porte extérieur le chat revenait en panique ;

  • Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia - The doors started to move a little and the kitchen utensils were swinging slightly. We live in a 12 story apartment and it may have been amplified as we are on the 10th floor.
  • Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia - My daughter saw pictures on the wall moving. Very feint ... but we live on the 11th floor of a 15 story building.

  • Idrinskoye - шаталось всё, что только могло шататься! высокий шкаф чуть было не упал. толчки быстро нарастали, продержались на каком то уровне и плавно затухли. трясло около минуты. только рыбы в аквариуме засуетились, а остальные - спокойно перенесли! Source EMSC

  • Sansia - I was trying to open the apartment door located at the 17th floor and it was swing like I was drunk, can't get my key into the keyhole, and I felt I was "dizzy" then I realized it was an earthquake, i went down to the lobby, the cleaning lady said she does not know there was a hit

  • Ciaotou - Just got off the KMRT at Ciaotou station just near Gangshan. Got out of the train and immediately heard two pretty loud bangs, thought it was a car crash, then everything started swaying, including the MRT train carriages that did not leave the station. The station attendant was great and told everyone to stay on the platform eventhough it is elevated 3 storeys above the ground, he later explained it is very well designed and safer than being on the streets below! Still love living in Taiwan!

    People :
    Felt by persons at rest, on upper floors or favorably placed.
    MMI III (Weak shaking) ?
    People :
    Felt indoors; hanging objects may swing, vibration similar to passing of light trucks, duration may be estimated, may not be recognized as an earthquake.
    MMI IV (Light shaking) ?
    People :
    Generally noticed indoors but not outside. Light sleepers may be awakened. Vibration may be likened to the passing of heavy traffic, or to the jolt of a heavy object falling or striking the building.
    Fittings :
    Doors and windows rattle. Glassware and crockery rattle. Liquids in open vessels may be slightly disturbed. Standing motorcars may rock.
    Structures :
    Walls and frames of buildings, and partitions and suspended ceilings in commercial buildings, may be heard to creak.
    MMI V (Moderate shaking) ?
    People :
    Generally felt outside, and by almost everyone indoors. Most sleepers awakened. A few people alarmed.
    Fittings :
    Small unstable objects are displaced or upset. Some glassware and crockery may be broken. Hanging pictures knock against the wall. Open doors may swing. Cupboard doors secured by magnetic catches may open. Pendulum clocks stop, start, or change rate.
    Structures :
    Some large display windows cracked. A few earthenware toilet fixtures cracked.
    MMI VI (Strong shaking) ?
    People Felt by all. People and animals alarmed. Many run outside. Difficulty experienced in walking steadily.
    Fittings :
    Objects fall from shelves. Pictures fall from walls. Some furniture moved on smooth floors, some unsecured free-standing fireplaces moved. Glassware and crockery broken. Very unstable furniture overturned. Small church and school bells ring. Appliances move on bench or table tops. Filing cabinets or "easy glide" drawers may open (or shut).
    Structures :
    Slight damage to buildings with low standard. Some stucco or cement plaster falls. Large display windows broken. Damage to a few weak domestic chimneys, some may fall.
    Environment :
    Trees and bushes shake, or are heard to rustle. Loose material may be dislodged from sloping ground, e.g. existing slides, talus slopes, shingle slides.
    MMI VII (Very strong shaking) ?
    People
    General alarm. Difficulty experienced in standing. Noticed by motorcar drivers who may stop.
    Fittings :
    Large bells ring. Furniture moves on smooth floors, may move on carpeted floors. Substantial damage to fragile contents of buildings.
    Structures :
    Unreinforced stone and brick walls cracked. Low standard buildings cracked with some minor masonry falls. A few instances of damage to buildings of ordinary workmanship. Unbraced parapets, unbraced brick gables, and architectural ornaments fall. Roofing tiles, especially ridge tiles may be dislodged. Many unreinforced domestic chimneys damaged, often falling from roof-line. Water tanks Type I burst. A few instances of damage to brick veneers and plaster or cement-based linings. Unrestrained water cylinders (hot-water cylinders) may move and leak. Some common windows cracked. Suspended ceilings damaged.
    Environment :
    Water made turbid by stirred up mud. Small slides such as falls of sand and gravel banks, and small rock-falls from steep slopes and cuttings. Instances of settlement of unconsolidated or wet, or weak soils. Some fine cracks appear in sloping ground. A few instances of liquefaction (i.e. small water and sand ejections).
    MMI VIII (Severe shaking) ?
    People Alarm may approach panic. Steering of motorcars greatly affected. Structures : Low standard buildings heavily damaged, some collapse. ordinary workmanship buildings damaged, some with partial collapse. Reinforced masonry or concrete buildings damaged in some cases. A few instances of damage to buildings and bridges designed and built to resist earthquakes. Monuments and pre-1976 elevated tanks and factory stacks twisted or brought down. Some pre-1965 infill masonry panels damaged. A few post-1980 brick veneers damaged. Decayed timber piles of houses damaged. Houses not secured to foundations may move. Most unreinforced domestic chimneys damaged, some below roof-line, many brought down. Environment : Cracks appear on steep slopes and in wet ground. Small to moderate slides in roadside cuttings and unsupported excavations. Small water and sand ejections and localized lateral spreading adjacent to streams, canals, lakes, etc.
    MMI IX (Violent shaking) ?
    Structures Many low standard buildings destroyed. Ordinary workmanship buildings heavily damaged, some collapse. Reinforced masonry or concrete buildings damaged, some with partial collapse. Buildings and bridges designed and built to resist earthquakes damaged in some cases, some with flexible frames seriously damaged. Damage or permanent distortion to some buildings and bridges, designed and built to normal use standards. Houses not secured to foundations shifted off. Brick veneers fall and expose frames. Environment : Cracking of ground conspicuous. Landsliding general on steep slopes. Liquefaction effects intensified and more widespread, with large lateral spreading and flow sliding adjacent to streams, canals, lakes, etc.
