  • Skopje - there was no damage as far as i am concerned but i am still feeling the ground shake a little bit

  • Skopje - No proporty was dammeged but realy strong shaking lasted for seconds.
  • Skopje - Vertical hit, like off road driving or heavy turbulence in an airplane. Woke me up from sleep. The car alarms went off. No obvious damage whatsoever to property. I live on the VIII floor.

  • Skopje - I woke up because the bed started shaking. It was the first time I experienced an earthquake

  • Tirane - the lamp on the wall was shaking for a little while, people who were sleeping on the couch didn't feel it.
  • Sofia - It was week and it took around 5-10 sec.
  • Skopje - nouvelle secousse plus importante et plus longue que ce matin.
  • Ohrid - Ik lag op bed te rusten en ineens voel ik het bed onder mij schudden heen en weer. Twee keer. Ik schrok en belde meteen de receptie van het hotel om te vragen wat er aan de hand is. Ze zei dat het een aardbeving is maar er geen rede voor paniek. Na twee kee schudden werd het stil. Alles is in orde, prijs God.
  • skopje - loud thump followed by a roar. Shook a light fixture off.
  • Sofia - I felt the chair move forwards and backwards while I was sitting. Then I noticed the lamps hanging from the ceiling were swinging.
  • Tirana - Short and long away from here but still enough to feel it very well
  • Vodno - I was at a restaurant when everything started shaking. My family and I got out and left to a safer place.
  • Skopje - About 50-60seconds shake, half an hour ago(15:20).It was pretty strong.I was in a shopping mall and it caused big pannic around the people.
  • Pristina - Working on the sencond floor of a building in the city center, I felt weak shaking.
  • Prilep - It was shaking the house and seemed to last a long time.
  • Skopje - First time experience of an earthquake. I was just gonna enter the shower when everything started shaking. I quickly put clothes on and ran outside. I though the building would collapse on top of my head. No structural damage, but I'm still shaking

  • Skopje - 6:57 am I was woken up by the sound of windows rattling and strong shaking which may have lasted up to a few minutes (5.0 M) followed by a smaller (2.7 M) shake which lasted for a few seconds. 3:10-15 pm I was driving on a rural road (aracinovo) when my car started shaking from side to side. this was a confirmed quake number 3 since this morning with a magnitude of (5.4 M). 6:11 pm local authorities have warned citizens for upcoming earthquakes at around 7 pm with unknown strength wish us luck.
  • Skopje - Ik was net terug gekomen uit NL. Was 1 uur thuis in Skopje. 's Ochtends was er om 7:00 al een aarbeving geweest. Ineens, zonder vooraankondiging, begon alles heftig te schudden. Het was een klapper. Duurde 15-20 sec denk ik. Dacht echt dat het gebouw zou instorten. Ben onmiddellijk naar buiten gerend vanaf de derde verdieping. Mensen op straat waren echt geschrokken; sommigen in paniek en veel gehuil. Gebouw heeft volgens mij structurele schade opgelopen; er zit een lange scheur in de buitenmuur
  • Skopje - I was in my room when it started. I live in an older house. I ran straight out as small debris started falling. There is a long crack where the wall meets the ceiling. One broken glass from the shelf. Lasted 5-8 seconds. It was followed by a lesser shake few minutes later.
  • volkovo - no property damage.
  • Skopje,Gazibaba - SKOPJE GAZIBABA VERY STRONG
  • Skopje - 1 km from the epicentar..very strong ..roof damamge
  • Skopje - Sickening sound. Vertical oscilation, epicenter under my ass. Many things fell down to the floor. Good build, strong pillars, but, you could not feel safe. No big harm, God with us!
  • Skopje - tolerable damage, God with us

  • Skopje - A series of sharp jolts which lasted for approximately 5 seconds. I was staying at my girlfriend's apartment at the time and we ran out as soon as the shaking started. Several panes of glass in the hallway had broken off and fallen on the ground, littering the hallway with glass shards. People were descending in an orderly fashion, almost nobody panicked.
  • Skopje - Everyone was on the streets. There were a lot of aftershocks. We felt it at 9pm too. And at night past midnight.

  • Skopje - When we run down and out the hotel staff were therebutbut noone had given any instructions. They had just saved themselves. All birds over the stadium were flying up and around like in panic. We hurried to the airport and back to Denmark.

  • Sofia - I felt only three or for times a shaking in my bellow I couldn´t explain while sitting on my desk.

    MMI II (Very weak shaking) ?
    People :
    Felt by persons at rest, on upper floors or favorably placed.
    MMI III (Weak shaking) ?
    People :
    Felt indoors; hanging objects may swing, vibration similar to passing of light trucks, duration may be estimated, may not be recognized as an earthquake.
    MMI IV (Light shaking) ?
    People :
    Generally noticed indoors but not outside. Light sleepers may be awakened. Vibration may be likened to the passing of heavy traffic, or to the jolt of a heavy object falling or striking the building.
    Fittings :
    Doors and windows rattle. Glassware and crockery rattle. Liquids in open vessels may be slightly disturbed. Standing motorcars may rock.
    Structures :
    Walls and frames of buildings, and partitions and suspended ceilings in commercial buildings, may be heard to creak.
    MMI V (Moderate shaking) ?
    People :
    Generally felt outside, and by almost everyone indoors. Most sleepers awakened. A few people alarmed.
    Fittings :
    Small unstable objects are displaced or upset. Some glassware and crockery may be broken. Hanging pictures knock against the wall. Open doors may swing. Cupboard doors secured by magnetic catches may open. Pendulum clocks stop, start, or change rate.
    Structures :
    Some large display windows cracked. A few earthenware toilet fixtures cracked.
    MMI VI (Strong shaking) ?
    People Felt by all. People and animals alarmed. Many run outside. Difficulty experienced in walking steadily.
    Fittings :
    Objects fall from shelves. Pictures fall from walls. Some furniture moved on smooth floors, some unsecured free-standing fireplaces moved. Glassware and crockery broken. Very unstable furniture overturned. Small church and school bells ring. Appliances move on bench or table tops. Filing cabinets or "easy glide" drawers may open (or shut).
    Structures :
    Slight damage to buildings with low standard. Some stucco or cement plaster falls. Large display windows broken. Damage to a few weak domestic chimneys, some may fall.
    Environment :
    Trees and bushes shake, or are heard to rustle. Loose material may be dislodged from sloping ground, e.g. existing slides, talus slopes, shingle slides.
    MMI VII (Very strong shaking) ?
    People
    General alarm. Difficulty experienced in standing. Noticed by motorcar drivers who may stop.
    Fittings :
    Large bells ring. Furniture moves on smooth floors, may move on carpeted floors. Substantial damage to fragile contents of buildings.
    Structures :
    Unreinforced stone and brick walls cracked. Low standard buildings cracked with some minor masonry falls. A few instances of damage to buildings of ordinary workmanship. Unbraced parapets, unbraced brick gables, and architectural ornaments fall. Roofing tiles, especially ridge tiles may be dislodged. Many unreinforced domestic chimneys damaged, often falling from roof-line. Water tanks Type I burst. A few instances of damage to brick veneers and plaster or cement-based linings. Unrestrained water cylinders (hot-water cylinders) may move and leak. Some common windows cracked. Suspended ceilings damaged.
    Environment :
    Water made turbid by stirred up mud. Small slides such as falls of sand and gravel banks, and small rock-falls from steep slopes and cuttings. Instances of settlement of unconsolidated or wet, or weak soils. Some fine cracks appear in sloping ground. A few instances of liquefaction (i.e. small water and sand ejections).
    MMI VIII (Severe shaking) ?
    People Alarm may approach panic. Steering of motorcars greatly affected. Structures : Low standard buildings heavily damaged, some collapse. ordinary workmanship buildings damaged, some with partial collapse. Reinforced masonry or concrete buildings damaged in some cases. A few instances of damage to buildings and bridges designed and built to resist earthquakes. Monuments and pre-1976 elevated tanks and factory stacks twisted or brought down. Some pre-1965 infill masonry panels damaged. A few post-1980 brick veneers damaged. Decayed timber piles of houses damaged. Houses not secured to foundations may move. Most unreinforced domestic chimneys damaged, some below roof-line, many brought down. Environment : Cracks appear on steep slopes and in wet ground. Small to moderate slides in roadside cuttings and unsupported excavations. Small water and sand ejections and localized lateral spreading adjacent to streams, canals, lakes, etc.
    MMI IX (Violent shaking) ?
    Structures Many low standard buildings destroyed. Ordinary workmanship buildings heavily damaged, some collapse. Reinforced masonry or concrete buildings damaged, some with partial collapse. Buildings and bridges designed and built to resist earthquakes damaged in some cases, some with flexible frames seriously damaged. Damage or permanent distortion to some buildings and bridges, designed and built to normal use standards. Houses not secured to foundations shifted off. Brick veneers fall and expose frames. Environment : Cracking of ground conspicuous. Landsliding general on steep slopes. Liquefaction effects intensified and more widespread, with large lateral spreading and flow sliding adjacent to streams, canals, lakes, etc.
