  • Ranson - Neighbor had picture fall from the wall.
  • Charles Town - Loud rumble, steady shaking of approx. 5 seconds.
  • Charles town - The dogs headed for the door and all of my glassware chattered. Sounded like 3-4 seconds of sustained deep thunder from beneath the house.
  • Harpers Ferry - similar to a thunder boom
  • Charles Town - Loud BOOM and the house shook.
  • Shannondale, Harpers Ferry - The dog was acting weird most of the morning and right before it happened he did not want to be in the house. We had some pictures on the wall shake and rattle and it sounded like a train going down the street.
  • harpers ferry Wv - All a sudden the house shook things shook on the walls with a loud rumble
  • Harpers Ferry - Just let the dogs out for a walk. Standing at the front door when the ground began shaking for about 3-4 seconds. Pictures on the walls rattled for a moment ,but that's about it.
  • Harpersferry. Wvv - Lasted 3 or4seconds. No damage
  • Bolivar - We experienced 3 - 4 seconds of loud rumbling sound and vibrations in our home similar to heavy thunder or a distant explosion. In fact, I got up and looked outside for storm clouds thinking that what it was.
  • Charles town,wv - It was a loud rumble and distinct shake, like a herd of Buffalo were coming through.
  • Lovettsville - We thought one of the kids might have knocked over something heavy in the basement. Also felt like underground blasting but without the sound.
  • Woodstock, USA - Traveling down 81 today from Winchester and the semi in front of me began to weave suddenly, and I immediately realized my vehicle was also undulating as well as the vehicle beside me. I looked to the trees suspecting gusty winds, but the winds were strangely calm. Almost certain this was a tremor. It was a very odd sensation while driving.
  • Ranson W vVA - Sound like a bad thunder storm
  • Harpers Ferry, West Virginia - My mother experienced an extremely loud boom (like a cannon) and house shook for 3-4 seconds. She lives less than a mile from both the Shenandoah and Potomac Rivers (closer to Shenandoah) where they meet in Harpers Ferry, West Virginia. Also my brother experienced the same (house shook and loud boom) at his home near Blue Ridge Elementary School.
  • Shannondale - Sounded like thunder or blasting.
  • Harpers Ferry, West Virginia - No apparent damage to structure (to the best of my knowledge). I was inside home, I heard a very loud boom (like a cannon), then the house shook for a few seconds.
  • Bolivar - Thought more sonic boom or explosion over earthquake. Guess I am just used to my So California earthquakes. Just got rattles and no sways

After being in the 2011 earthquake I am glad I was asleep and didn't know what was going on.
