Just after midnight local time a moderate earthquake struck below the sea-floor of the triangle St. Lucia, Martinique and Barbados.
Based on the first I Have Felt It reports from the area, this earthquake has been felt as a “light shaking” (MMI IV) in Saint Lucia and as a weak shaking (MMI III)  in Martinique, Barbados and Saint Vincent and the Grenadines.
The distance from the epicenter (in between Saint Lucia and Barbados) to the nearest populated island is too big to generate any damage or injuries.

I Have Felt It reports as received by Earthquake-Report.com
Sandals Grande St. Lucian, Gros Islet, St. Lucia : First time feeling an earthquake.  Totally felt the earth moving.  Everything started shaking in our rooms!  Went on for about 30 seconds (maybe felt that long because it was my first one).  Started getting scared when it wouldn’t stop and I told my husband, should we get under a door Sill? (Moderate Shaking MMI V indicated)
Micoud, St.Lucia : The noise which preceded and consequently accompanied the actual shaking was a bit ominous for me since I reside next to the sea in Micoud, St. Lucia. I thought it was a tsunami approaching! Fortunately everything subsided rather quickly. (Light Shaking MMI IV indicated)
Case-Pilot, Martinique : Light shaking MMI IV indicated
Desruisseaux, St Lucia : The shaking woke everyone in the house. I was in a deep sleep when i  woke up due to the house shaking and heard the windows rattling.   Everyone was up by then and pretty shaky.  Quite a frightening experience!  In my opinion it was too strong for comfort! (Strong shaking MMI VI indicated)
Cap Estate, St Lucia : the doors were shaking the rumbling felt like a train was passing  it lasted 30 seconds   horrible feeling (Light shaking MMI IV indicated)
Martinique, St Joseph : The earthquake awoke me…the glass on the windows were moving and making noises, then the bed started to shake..that’s when I got really scared (had a very bad experience in the 2007 earthquake) I was very slow reacting to this as I was asleep…was very scared and stayed awake for hours after.. (Moderate shaking MMI V indicated)
Gros Islet, St. Lucia : The quake could be heard approaching, a rumbling growing louder and louder till it hit with a loud crack.  The shaking did not last long but was anough to send me running to check on the kids in bed.  Woke up all adults in the house, but the kids slept though it. (Moderate Shaking MMI V indicated)
Cap Estate, St Lucia :  Woken from deep sleep just after midnight, wondering what on earth was going on, felt the ground shaking somewhat like a train was rumbling underground only more intense and for longer, several seconds (Light shaking MMI IV indicated).
Beausejour Gros Islet, St.Lucia : Was just falling asleep, when the bed started shaking. Lasted for a few seconds (Moderate shaking MMI V indicated).
St Lucia, Vieux Fort : My first earthquake! I looked out the window to see if a truck had just crashed. My roommate slept through it, but she’s from California IVMMI
Saint Lucia, Rodney Bay : Doors started shaking and noticed grounds moving slightly, didn’t last too long, maybe 5 to 6 seconds only.VMMI
Kingstown, St Vincent & the Grenadines : I was awoken by the bed shaking and the window panes were rattling slightly. It was not very scary as I’ve experienced earthquakes above 7.0. Soon after the earthquake stopped rain begain to pour. IVMMI
Martinique, Saint-Pierre : I felt the shaking for a couple a seconds. What impressed me the most was the rumbling hollow noise (I suppose from the metallic roof of my house and perhaps the houses auround). The cat was completly scared about ten minutes. IVMMI
Vieux-fort StLucia : Very unsettling feeling. Shaking and rumbling during a movie we were watching, so it took us a while to figure the sound was not from the movie and to realize we were shaking side to side. VMMI
Cap Estate, St Lucia :  I was awake and heard it coming, then the room shook and doors rattled for what seemed like a long time. It awoke my kids. It was quite scary. VMMI
Marchand, Castries St.Lucia : It started a few seconds after midnight. Was in a deep sleep even thought it was a dream but got up suddenly & realized it wasn’t. Bed was shaking, windows were making noise. It woke everyone up in the house & a few neighbours I even heard someone screaming. Lasted for about 30 seconds there about, it gave a strong thud just before ending then it weakly subsided. VMMI
Laborie Saint Lucia : Was up doing some research on the net and felt the chair shaking. My daughther was up as well. When I realized that it would not stop I told her that it was and earthquake. I also heard the roof on the front porch rattling. III MMI
Castries St. Lucia : Un boato terribile e unos cuotimento forte, ma la paura più grande era per il probabile tsunami anche se non è arrivato.
Villa, St. Vincent and the Grenadines : First I heard a noise like thunder then felt the shaking, It lasted for about 7 secs and just as it was over rain started pouring III
Kingstown, Saint Vincent and the Grenadines : Just after midnight, was getting into bed and the entire bed shook. Apparently others around town felt it too. It was light – almost dismissable but definitly felt it IV
Vieux-Fort, St Lucia : I was studying when i felt the floor shaking. I have never experienced an earthquake before. Due to the fact there is a tractor that normally passes in front of my complex and shake the house as it passes, I rushed outside to see if it was that tractor. I rushed outside to the front porch (first floor) until to realize that the street was empty. It lasted probably 15 to 20 seconds. It was just after midnight. V
Cap estate, St Lucia : Woke up and felt building “jump”. The others with me felt the building shake for 20 – 30 seconds. First experience of a quake IV
St. Vincent and the Grenadines : I was looking at TBN while having a cup of tea and felt the house moving. I heard a sound like a truck passing, I looked out my window, but realise no vehicle was passing. My body became hot instantly-(fear). V
Sandals Grande,  St. Lucia : We were on vacation in ST Lucia last Sat night asleep when we felt what seemed as though a helicopter was landing on the roof. We were on the top floor of the Sandals Grande resort in St Lucia, It woke us up out of a sound sleep, but it didn’t last long. V
